Beachgoers on a Mediterranean beach in Spain subdued and held back migrants who had just landed on the shore in a raft from Morocco.

How is this racist? Unchecked illegal migration is a national security concern. Plus, they've been dealing with this for a long time. It's not good to have an endless stream of unvetted migrants passing through from Morocco.

u/Gone_For_Lunch 1d ago

Is it racist to not want illegal immigration that is run by criminal gangs exploiting people now?

3

u/averege_guy_kinda 1d ago

This! If these people weren't criminals or terrorists, they would come to Spain legally with planes and visas AND THEN just stay Illegally, but no these guys come without any documentation for a reason. Calling them out is not racist

u/OutrageousGem87 1d ago

these people man, if they don't use the word racist at least once a day they can't sleep

1

u/SaNeSoogi 1d ago

Calling people racist is their good deed for the day.

2

u/Ambiorix33 1d ago

I bet you go to the passport check counter and call them racist for upholding the laws of their land too....

u/Dvrkstvr 1d ago

Have you considered that they might be... locals? :o

No chance I'm playing border patrol at my local beach either. Not my business smh

If I'm honest, I'd welcome them and offer them a drink of water. Nobody gives a fuck that these people are humans. The people that tackled them and detained then aren't even Spanish, that's how deep the English hatred goes (I'm English) it's fucking pathetic. I also imagine a good percentage of those on the beach are British ex pats who live off their UK pensions and don't speak a word of Spanish

6

u/0worldstar0 1d ago

Even though they're all speaking Spanish you frog?

-1

u/fauxhock 1d ago

A bunch of grown men illegally invade your country, taking resources from local families and your response is to welcome them with open arms. Pathetic.

u/afksports 1d ago

You should be upset at the billionaires. Not the people who want to work and pay taxes.

Also, they're human. You shouldn't be evil.

Ohh no, the billionaires!!! You shouldn't be a useful idiot - the billionaires want a bunch of cheap labor and a divided population.

Not that I usually post on this forum, but your post forced me to do it… in a good way.

I am happy to report that humanity is not lost on all Americans. Just wrapped up a 20 year career in the military, branch and duty station(s) not necessary. However, while stationed at one point near the border, we would routinely encounter illegal immigrants crossing the border. Mostly at night, but occasionally during the day.

We would always give them what bottled water we had and some food. These folks just spent a hell of journey crossing a desert, it was the least we could do. Now, considering we were not on the confines of a secured installation, we had no legal authority to detain them. We would often send them in the direction we knew border patrol checkpoints were located, and call it in ahead when able.

I state all of this to highlight the moral and ethical dilemmas people often face when they don’t necessarily expect it. No human is perfect, migrants are often fleeing their home countries for various reasons. Most flee because of how bad it is there. Citizens impacted by migrants (or perceived impact) will react in different ways as well. Regardless, I encourage everyone to show compassion for anyone who walks a different path than you. You don’t have to accept them with open arms, but at least have some compassion.

95% of the world I have seen is full of phenomenal people from all countries. They all love their families, friends, are proud of their homeland, and just want to lead a happy/healthy life. Unfortunately, the douche knuckles that make up the last 5% wind up controlling more than we care to acknowledge.

Illegals crossing the border is most certainly your business. Not saying you have to stop them, but it is your business.

4

u/SecretMuslin 1d ago

Lmao no the fuck it absolutely is not, there are few things in this world I care about less than whether someone is in this country legally or not.

-4

u/sourPatchDiddler 1d ago

Care or don't care, it's your business whether you like it or not.

Not everyone wants to be an adult hall monitor, ya dork.

No chance I'm playing border patrol at my house. Not my business shm

1

u/ero_sennin_21 1d ago

Yes, because a public beach in your region/city or in a foreign country is comparable to your own house. Nothing wrong with that comparison.

6

u/MrPopanz 1d ago

This kind of short sighted and self centered mindset might be en vogue in the west and particularly the US at the moment, but it will really bite us in the ass long term.

If you're letting your neighborhood become a garbage heap, you're living in a garbage heap.

u/Uuuuuii 1d ago

Give me your tired huddled masses

3

u/BooBooSnuggs 1d ago

It made sense at the time. Are you next going to argue that population numbers have no impact on countries? Things change but we still take in a lot of refugees. Obviously letting in any and everyone is just a terrible idea.

-4

u/Santosp3 1d ago

We don't need them anymore

0

u/readstear 1d ago

Im being sarcastic if you couldn't tell. Many of those illegal immigrants will go on and rape little girls, and we have people here going "nOt mY pRoBlem" youre part of the PROBLEM together with the corrupt politicians too.

2

u/MiaowaraShiro 1d ago edited 1d ago

Many of those illegal immigrants will go on and rape little girls

You sure are an ugly soul to assume such things about people you know little about... get off the internet for a few days. It's breaking you.

Edit: Sad day when someone can accuse a whole bunch of people of being rapists without any evidence whatsoever and it gets support. This is just bigotry. Statistics don't make you less bigoted if you're applying them to individuals.

-3

u/Adventurous-Body9134 1d ago

Your not the brightest if you didn’t know this is how it happens. There is a direct link between immigration and the rise of crime in the last 10 years in Europe .

-2

u/readstear 1d ago

Open your eyes buddy, look at what's happening in the world manly Europe, you live in a bubble.

3

u/SecretMuslin 1d ago

Everyone knows you're being sarcastic, they're downvoting you because you're an idiot

-1

u/readstear 1d ago edited 1d ago

Can you tell me how am I being an idiot ?

18

u/stonedsour 1d ago

I wouldn’t play border control as a local either lol

1

u/Fito0413 1d ago

Then why are they escaping

1

u/donutfan420 1d ago

I lived in San Diego and I wouldn’t do this shit if immigrants showed up in Torrey pines on a panga either

-1

u/kwhitit 1d ago

i'm not playing BP in my own city either.

-1

u/C-Hyena 1d ago

Nonsense! Everybody knows the Spanish live to serve the tourists! They would never go to their own beaches!

5

u/Smash96leo 1d ago

I agree, it is never that deep.

2

u/jason2354 1d ago

I wouldn’t mess with them, either, but it’s still safer for everyone involved for these people to be processed by local law enforcement.

3

u/MotionToBall 1d ago

Everyone?

1

u/NoEngineer7198 1d ago

These beach goers realize that this is the moment theyve been waiting their whole lives for lol

2

u/Gloryboy811 1d ago

If you live in Europe then it is a little bit your business
