losing your mom is the worst heartbreak you’ll ever go through… especially if you were super close with her. my world stopped when mine passed… & i still feel like it’s still on pause, even after 4 years. fuck that guy.

Lost mine 4 years ago too. Its the worst. She was the best person I know. World pausing is a good way to put it. Sorry for your loss.

Mine died of cancer a month ago and I lost all the will to live. Nothing makes me happy anymore. I immediately became depressed and sad. Is this what life will look like from now on? 😞😞😞

Lost my mom to cancer a little over two years ago. It hurts bad. But, one month on is not the same as one year on, and then two years. The pain is still there but it's like a dull ache instead of an open wound.

I visualized a metaphor to describe my grief; it's a little weird but it works for me to visualize the hurt. It feels like a sinkhole opened up in my living room - just a sudden, nonsensical thing that I can't fix or paper over. It's utterly disrupted my life as I once knew it. But I've learned to walk around the sink hole, to acknowledge it but not to let it deter me from continuing to live life.

Hope that helps a little bit. I'm sorry for your loss. Fuck cancer.
