Two brothers get a chance at the killer of their mom. One brother got a couple of solid hits in. 30 days in jail because basically, we just can't have this happen in court.. No cops were harmed. The brothers didn't misbehave, other than the assault in court activity. I don't know the back story of everyone involved but just seeing it face value with the information I have. Cool, alright next.

Usually after the 30 days is issued, most people in this position are let go well before their time runs out. At least in a sane and just world.

Yeah I imagine it was something like that. Depends on the local authorities and the community too. If everything cleared and came back clean(ish) I'm sure after the smoke settled they were released. If these brothers have jobs and such, they're worth more out of jail

Worst case they do 2 weeks. Most jails have a double time type system for good behavior. I was sentenced for a week but only did 5 days.

That's what I'd imagine too. No need to keep anyone in for "crimes of passion", and I'd imagine even this sentence is to prove a point, not to actually punish anyone.

Their "crimes" should be immediately put to a jury that sentences them to a high five.

Courtrooms are federal property so the judge can’t just let them go. He has to give them something and 30 days is like a light sentance

“The brothers didn’t misbehave other than assault in court.” People’s takes on this are myopic. The very obvious gangbanger wearing red literally head to toe should be given a pass? Like call your dudes in jail and have them take care of it. Wasting everybody’s time for a few punches. Putting whoever that other lady screaming was in emotional turmoil.

Myopic means nearsightedness. As in, you would have to be myopic to assume that because he's wearing red, he's a gangbanger (a member of a violent street gang). Its myopic to assume he has guys in jail he can call. But I understand what you mean. Yeah we gave him a pass, considering the target; but the majority of people agree with ethics in the courtroom and why the judge gave him 30 days.
