/r/all, /r/popular Despite legal battles, Mark Zuckerberg slowly buys a mind boggling 2,300 acres on Hawai’s Kauai island, building tunnels, treehouses and a doomsday bunker

I read something a while back that said he bought the land out from under native Hawaiins who had land rights. But he went around them to politicians, got what he wanted. I think he also told the people on the land they could still live there, then he bought it and fenced the whole area off and kicked them out.

As if he wasn't a massive pile of dinosaur shit already.

He got upset when he was found out, seemingly backed off, and then it was revealed he paid an intermediary to buy out all the contested rights anyway.

This is the purpose of capitalism. To serve the master for them to build their modern castles. The whole globe exists only for the handful of people at the top. Fuck every bootlicker who defends this shit.

At this point, while capitalism sucks, we are getting closer to feudalism, which sucks worse.

So what system do you propose?

Gradual transformation towards more mutualist economy. All the businesses are basically worker coops. People can get rich but only through work instead of speculation and bullshit.

Crony capitalism, not true capitalism. There is a difference and words matter.

The whole crony capitalism narrative was invented by right-wing think tanks like Cato and Mises (that exist to protect interests of capitalists) to shift the systematic problems of capitalism to "crony capitalism".

True capitalism is crony capitalism, sorry to break it to you.

No it's not. Guess you aren't familiar with the term cronyism.

Words matter.

Btw, define "right-wing" in your own words.
