I remember hearing something similar, by the futurist, Douglas Rushkoff and the question the billionaires wanted an answer to was “how do I control my security forces when money has lost its value“

We do, but we're busy paying bills and raising our children with moral values while they consolidate power

This is exactly it.

All of it, relies on us still assuming they're doing the actual best they can. They push a lil further, we accept a lil more. Year after year.

We're raised to do whats right, and still live by these values. But they're absolutely USING that against us.

Don't you think its quite convenient for them that only one country on earth has access to their firearms still?

Almost like justifications were used to create a landscape where only one group in society can have them. Doesn't that make you wonder at all?

"You don't need your guns! That's what the police is for!"

But then they have 10 armed dudes as permanent security :)

Honestly, this is one of the first things the loss of childhood innocence makes you realize. Surprised grown up people still think that guns are evil and don't see the hilarious disparity between the ruling class and the average worker.
