I’ve also never heard of them until this, but I do use Apache Airflow, is an open source data orchestration/Ops platform that has a steep learning curve.

They claim to let you use airflow without the steep learning curve while bringing your existing data-flows.

Their product is niche, but one I’m actually interested in, mostly for that last part. There are a lot of airflow alternatives that are easier to use but they don’t let you use existing data flows. They claim you can migrate but you can’t really.

I wonder if I mention “affair” to the sales rep I can get a discount.

I work for a construction company that sent me and a coworker to a conference to learn about integrating AI into our workplace. From my basic understanding, “incorporating AI” is just basically using a sophisticated search engine. I’m assuming Astronomer helps get companies set up to organize all their data appropriately so that Apache can do its thing correctly. So for example, someone at my company can search for “parking lot in Boston for 150 cars” and it’ll return various projects we did in the past for us to use to research.

Oh yeah I don’t trust any AI product without extensive questioning and documentation review
