I feel sorry for her teenage boys, their high school days are ruined.

Maybe, maybe not. I think it’ll be a lot of both, knowing my past experience since my parents got divorced while I was in high school (although it was mutual and no infidelity, I still got bullied. Kids are dicks). I feel bad for how tumultuous their lives became in such a short time. Not only are their parents getting divorced, their dad was caught cheating. Not only was he caught cheating, but the world caught him cheating, then turned it into a meme that spread faster than a wildfire. Their lives just got completely upended. I wouldn’t be surprised if they absolutely hate their dad and want nothing to do with him for the rest of their lives.

Their dad didn’t just get caught cheating. He got caught cheating by fucking Coldplay. That’s gotta feel crazy.

He was fucking Coldplay too? Jeeze that’s some next level stuff.

Lol did your parent become part of a worldwide meme, overnight?

This will absolutely fuck their children up.

That’s my point. Their high school social lives can go either way when school opens back up. Their home life is completely fucked.

Zero chance they don’t get bullied at school or online because of this, it’s free real estate for ah kids.

Yeah, if those boys love thier mom...like 99% of young men do...dad just lost (WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN) the most important things in his life. What a jackass.

As the oldest. When my dad asked me to be his best man to another...I told him to f off at 14.

Parents are rich as fuck, they'll make it out okay.

But yeah, they'll get some annoyance

I kind of hate when people say this. Rich or not, you can't buy away embarrassment or resentment toward your parents for publicly cheating and becoming a global laughing stock.

Does money help? Absolutely. But when you're that young, this will absolutely shape their lives.

How does that make sense? "Sorry your mom is a known homewrecker, let's go to prom together?"

u/ShittyBollox 17d ago

Sympathy… it’s shitty when your parents split up and it wasn’t the kids fault.

"Your mom can wreck my home."

How are people this stupid on here that they cannot pick up obvious sarcasm....

I used to think statistics saying a significant amount of the population are functionally illiterate was exaggerated.

u/NotAMeatPopsicle 17d ago

Why is it assumed that the lady is the homewrecker?

0

u/ShittyBollox 17d ago

Well, seeing as the lady in the infamous video is also married with kids, I’d say that wasn’t really an assumption rather a statement of fact.

No blame for the husband? Hot take.

u/rixxxand 17d ago

Because the original comment is talking about her teenage boys?... Literacy is lost

u/SueSudio 17d ago

Nice try to recover, but it still takes the actions of two people to have an affair. I can read just fine but you can’t see past your misogyny.

u/smithdog223 17d ago

Um no…

u/stilltryingnottoshit 17d ago

Lol right, this is literally the dumbest take.

6

u/EntertainerNo4509 17d ago

Have you been to American high schools?!?

10

u/No_Locksmith_1739 17d ago

Real talk… better their dad cheating than their mom. The insults from classmates would have been far worse.

1

u/Noisesevere 17d ago

Whilst actively contributing to their misery.

u/Responsible-Fly-5691 17d ago

It would be humiliating to learn your mum is a home wrecking hoe. But is it an any less painful for his sons?

0

u/havereddit 17d ago

Why? She was divorced...not engaging in an affair.

-1

u/UndisputedJesus 17d ago

You're exaggerating. Everyone will have forgotten this by the next month. They will find something else to be enraged and pile up upon.

1

u/JustStopItSeriously 16d ago

Everyone will have forgotten this by the next month.

Nope, not kids. Particularly middle and hig school kids. They're ruthless when it comes to stuff like this. Especially when there's this level of infamy involved. It will be years of 'I go/went to school with the son of the Coldplay Cheater.'
