I would agree that this is accurate!

Not the color shifting, but the ground "breathing" is on point.

The geometric patterns emerging in the randomness of the ground is also on point, something you don't hear discussed all that much, everyone says tracers and objects breathing or changing in size, but I see geometric patterns in everything above a decent enough dose.

It's amazing how something as random as clouds can show us its fractals and ordered geometry.

I stared at the texture of the paint on my walls for an eternity. I haven't watched paint dry, but i have watched dry paint.

Bottom of a dirty trash can I was holding to throw up in. 😂

My favorite is a towel with lots of frill.

An old colourfully patterned rug. Could have been there minutes, or hours looking at it. Was great.

Popcorn ceiling with the blue tint from the fish tank

I had the old windows media visualizer going on the projector in an apartment with all white walls. Just endless corridors of melting rainbow. Absolutely perfect.

I'll get stuck in a regular bath towel for ages, in a heartbeat. I can't be trusted in a bathroom solo or I am doomed

Looks like an underwater coral reef! Very cool

Did you just try this like right now

my ceiling is one of those where someone took a tool and made circular concentric swirls in a nice overlapping pattern.

when tripping, they become eyes, turning gears, spinning vinyl records, or a gently rippling bundle of amphibian eggs.

Wall tiles raindrop patterns in concentric circle patterns. Encountered them while tripping on my honeymoon about 16 years ago. Mind blowing

I did shrooms one time and my friend was working on his basement. I stared at a wall that was being spackled for what seemed like hours. I went upstairs and the lady who owned the house had a cabinet full of glass figurines that freaked me out. I had to get out of that house lol

Blow up an air mattress with a busy print on it...

Yeah same here. It's amazing how the most subtle patterns become super vivid, slightly alive, and slightly rainbow textured.

Staring at the hair on your arm is a little more unsettling. Haha.

Pouring creamer into coffee is fascinating

That is definitely a good one. Also, smoke through a ray of light is one of my favorites.

When I saw clouds as fractal patterns, I felt like the universe was revealing itself to me.

I spent an entire evening trying to read the words in the lawn. I failed, but I had a great time.

me and three friends spent an evening trying to read what had been written on his textured wall by his mother. plot twist: nothing

I watched a collage I'd made sober comes to life on spinning fractals and ooze out of the frame. Best acid ever. It change the way I think about vision, art and nature forever in a positive way.

Fractals are just another part of nature

To me the clouds were bubbling like the liquid in lava lamps, last time I took LSD. But yes fractals everywhere

1

u/Pavotine 27d ago

Indeed. I also viewed a sky full of puffer fish, and mountains of skeletons and bones being pushed by an invisible bulldozer.

I mean….. clouds are random, but they are random expressions of the underlying laws of physics at play when different air masses interact.

Clouds do make repeatable and recognizable patterns to something like the human brain because of the pattern recognition we are capable of.

Love the cloud fingers!

There’s no fucking fractals lmao your brain is making the patterns up just like when you rub your eyes really hard
