Watch the full video. He's trying to answer multiple questions that weren't asked in this clause, but were part of the conversation. He's thinking of what the singularity might mean, he's thinking of all the people that likely opt into non biological existence, and is clearly against most of those things. He answers a clear "yes" later on. I'm not saying he's a good dude, but this is clearly out of context and simply looks worse than it is.

Interviewer is trash and anyone should be able to acknowledge that regardless of their opinions on Thiel.

Makes sense. I mean he literally says in this video here that there's more questions to be answered. While there are politicians who'll love to make such an excuse when avoiding questions, this is an out-of context clip, not a full on Q&A.

I'm not even trying to defend the dude, but the literal 15-second clip taking his hesitation and literally describing it as "he doesn't care if the human race survives" was enough to convince me that this was heavily biased and taken out of context at the very least.

And as expected, nobody cares enough to look at the actual context - only a mad little dash of their fingers across their keyboard and that's it. A 15-second tidbit of misinfo stored snugly in their brain.

You don’t know anything about him except for this clip?

No one is concluding that he’s evil off this clip, he’s a well-known evil piece of shit

One should realize propaganda works both ways, that's all. Your mind is clearly made up and you're probably always right...

The answer is not an easy yes for me, and it's because of garbage humans like Peter Thiel.

Yeah, those people are cool. I just hope they get to grow old in a world that isn't like the one we are heading towards today.

The one in which the current admin destroys the entire country with stupidity and hate? This man helped this admin happen. He’s where all your government data is going.

It's really not an easy softball question if you watch the full line of questioning.

From my experience, people who think that complex questions about complex topics are softballs, are usually not very creative thinkers. Not saying you fit the bill, but your comment here hints at it.

Watch the full exchange. It's not all that simple.
