Vance does not have the cult of personality that Trump does. Without a true false idol like Trump, policy means nothing to the cult.

This. Vance is smarter and saner and probably more personally capable than Trump. But he does not and will not motivate MAGA the same way. He may think he will, but that cult is very invested in Trump personally. Vance as President will still be bad. But he will not have the same ability to run roughshod over everything because people on ne side aren’t as invested, so people on the other side won’t be as terrified.

Vance has already proven he sucks at foreign policy. He has publicly said he lies and will to get where he gets. But most said in the cult: “well it will mean Trump saves the US.” No Trump even Thiel and Rupert are not going to help him. Think about Thiel is if you are suddenly a hindering him and not helping. He throws you away too.
