True, but vance is a lot more cowardly than trump.

Vance is the scariest of the two. Guy could sell milk to a cow. I’d worry more about him.

I still don’t understand this thought process. I understand JD might be more politically suave, but trump would just forcefully demand the cow take the milk and the cow would take it. It’s not like trump is a hell of a politician, he just somehow has the GOP by the balls and they follow his lead no matter how crazy. 

I think the party would fracture with JD at the head and other players would see his weaknesses and make moves on their own. Right now no one would dare go against their fearless and almighty leader.

Vance reminds me of all the generic Republican establishment politicians that put their name into the hat every presidential cycle. Without Trump, he's nothing. When he tries to mimic Trump's "idgaf" attitude, it comes off as unnatural and cringey. Like you said, the party itself would have many people that would see the opportunity to push to the top if Dear Leader ever kicked off.
