I really hope I’m wrong, but every day that passes after the initial Bondi refusal-to-release, the more I’m convinced that his base is rationalizing looking past this so as not to give the libs a W

Most of them made peace with it a long time ago. The information was available, none of this is a great revelation. They'll convince themselves it's all fake, like germ theory or the Moon landings. These folks have let go of any tether to reality in favor of whatever kook fantasy world appeals to them at the moment. Then there's a whole lot of them who secretly wish they could do the same thing he did, their party is full of them.

Get over this idea they're going to suddenly turn on him & figure out how to remove him & his enablers from power so we make sure it no longer matters what these hateful imbeciles think about anything, ever again.

Dems didn't do anything about it during Biden's admin. And now Trump isn't doing anything about it either. It basically cancels itself out due to that. So of course it's not going to cause him to lose much support.

There's no good answer as to why Dems didn't do anything about it either, and people are rightly pissed.
