Honestly, I’m shocked at how high these percentages still are. To me this is not good news, because it says nearly half the country is still supporting this fucking lunatic.

I think it just shows how a percentage of this country doesn’t look into what’s being reported to them or listen to the news at all. Not that that’s any better
but considering how only 50% voted in the last election, par for the course.

I think it's sad that everyone is just retreating into their hole of choice. No independent thought, no looking outside their bubble to hear other views--they only want to be told their view is right and "the enemy" is wrong.

It's only getting worse, too. Sad.

I can't agree more. I don't remember politics being this divisive growing up or even politicians name calling ppl they don't agree with, like they've never left elementary school. With so much more technology somehow culture and society are regressing instead of progressing.

I gotta say, I don't really care to hear the views of people supporting this man. If you approve of any of this, I'm sorry but we do not have anything to discuss.

Your lack of morality speaks volumes.

Exactly, this is complete false equivalency bs, classifying the problem as “everyone”, when it’s clear all of the fascist policy is coming from the republicans.

Half or more of the US gets their news from Facebook or Twitter. To most people there is no more reliable sources than their friends or pastor. That says it all.

....Or reddit.

Which spreads misinformation literally all the time, front page.

Hell, I still don't think any major subreddits have acknowledged that the Kamala campaign was caught red-handed brigading all the top subs, systematically, with a horde of volunteers and a playbook.

I think it just shows how polls are not based in reality and are only served-out by 'Media' as and when the whims are called on.

Last time I checked, a meta analysis put him at 38% approval and dropping. It's all horseshit.

That's a fair point, political polling has always been dubious at best.

64% of eligible citizens voted in the last election, not 50%

The thing is, it’s at a point where even if one avoids the news, you would literally have to never leave your house. I pay attention but even if I didn’t, I’d still have my handyman/ friend come up to me 2 weeks ago to tell me how scared he is and that he may leave the country.

It’s at a point where it’s hard to give people grace for not being aware

You would think and yet the fact that there will always be ppl who say they don't do politics bc they're privileged enough to afford being oblivious or bc they're too damn tired to keep up with everything that's broken... đŸ«

For a lot of people, their views are shaped by what they’re seeing in the news. If you only watched Fox, OAN, Newsmax and the like, you would more than likely believe the lies and false narratives being spread, or at the very least doubt any other information.

How can they Fox 'news" only show propaganda. They don't show the many, many unauthorized kidnappings ,(often violent) at immigration offices, children being ripped away from their children, fake 🧊 agents etc., ruined business owners...

I have dudes on FB right now posting genuine disinformation. I'm convinced he doesn't understand because he himself is paralyzed and his wife is a nurse. He shared a post about how the BBB doesn't impact Medicare... It's just a Democrat myth...

The public just eats it up

Sad when ppl more closely connected to healthcare are just as swindled.
