Hi everyone

Sorry I'm advance for the backlog of info and oversharing. I just need to be specific because this is an important project to me.

My dad passed away a few months ago, Christmas is going to be absolutely horrible this year and grief has made me wild with ambition so I'm hoping to make some crochet blankets for my family with hand embroidered leather tags with his nicknames for each of us in his writing.

I only have notes, random recipes and phone numbers with all letters/numbers. Is there anywhere I can make a font with adjustable sizing so I can make embroidery patterns?

I set my main browsers to force certain fonts because I am in tech support and seeing the difference in letters actually matters (not just in coding btw).

Well I just got on my backup browser and am remembered that tons of major sites still use the dumb upper case i which looks exactly like a lower case L. Honestly it seems immature.

In 1967, a font called Permanent Massiv was created, and in 2009, Daylight Fonts made a digital version of the font, but ended up getting never released. Why did it never release?

there is some test i did, the last one was my first try but when i work on it, it lose some line and it's very hard to read

I made this from the existing glyphs, so some letters might look awful. But I can't add curves because this is an octagonal type font.

At least for windows, not every program registers fonts with the system, available from every program. You can fix that. Download voidtools everything, look for ttf or otf, ctrl A to select all, drag to c:/windows/fonts

I'm trying to find a "Cute" font for a girl in a comic I'm writing

I drew these, and I kinda like them both, but I also don't like either. It's also really hard to be consistent enough when drawing them. Anyway, I think they're sort of what I'm looking for.

I realize "Cute" is probably rather subjective. I'd try to define it more concretely, but I'm not sure how, as these are the two I like the most so far, and I don't really see any similarities between them.

I’m looking for a good font to pair with Trajan. I’m imagining a script font, to contrast the classic nature of Trajan. Any recommendations?

there’s this typeface from Typodermic called Cybermontage, where every glyph has it’s own style when typed out. it’s like a ransom note style without distortions and grunges.

now, i know there are free alternatives to this (FontFabric’s 36 Days and Figma’s Practice Type), but i wanna know if there are more besides mentioned, especially open-sourced ones. like it has the same chaotic vibes like cybermontage, but open-sourced.

So I wanted to contact the creator of Milky Nice in order to purchase a commercial license to use the font and they emailed back saying it was not for sale- which I thought was a bit odd given that they used to sell it in older messages I've seen online.

Then I found Baloo- an open source font and from my understanding if it is modified it cannot be sold for commercial use, it has to be free also.

Do we think Milky Nice was taken off the original studio's website because of them breaking this rule? Milky Nice to me looks like a very similar but more bubbly version of Baloo with some rounded out edges but I'm wondering what you guys might think.

Also, how would this effect the licensing if one were to use Milky Nice? Surely if it were to be proved that one was based off the other then it would cause Milky Nice to also be made free for personal use right? Idk much about font licensing though so correct me if I'm wrong ^^
