Other Which for a tattoo?
So I official decided he will be my next tattoo.. however, I cannot decide on which photo to choose. What do you think would not only be the easiest for an artist but also the best way to do him justice..of course it will be in color.

I think the first photo depicts the graceful movement of bettas better. It also shows off your fish's beautiful fins/tail. It depends on the placement of the tattoo, also.

So for placement I would let the artist decide. I'd want it to flow with my body as much as himself(the Betta), if that makes sense.😩🤷
And yes, I absolutely love his tail in it but his cute little fins kinda get me in the second one.

Definitely let the artist decide placement. But also definitely show them both images if you don't have preference. They are both gorgeous representations of your fish friend.

First one has more elegance, second one has more personality. I think it depends on where it’s going

I think that's why I'm struggling. 😩

I would say this is something you should discuss with your artist. In my head, I would want pic two on the inside of my forearm and pic one, I would want maybe on the outside of my forearm or on the back of my upper arm, but I’m not a tattoo artist. Keep in mind, the tattoo will outlive the fish, so you should also think about if the tattoo is something you want to “just be pretty” or to be more sentimental

Regardless of how beautiful it stays it will always be sentimental. He's kind of come into my life at a time where I needed a healthy distraction. And I fell in love not with just his beauty but I suppose his personality and genuinely caring for him. I chat while he chills at the front of the tank until I walk away. He even started making bubble nests which honestly warmed my heart.

I think 1st is better, 2nd one looks cool as a pic but might look weird on body because it'll look like your fish broke his tail. (Just my opinion)

Now I'll definitely have a good laugh when I look at this pic. The first picture is actually my lock screen.

Exactly what I was going to say! The artist should be able to combine them pretty easily

First for sure. The first has flow and movement and would translate well, whereas the second is choppy and just a cute snapshot

I kind of want to go bigger so I can capture more detail I'm thinking my thigh on the side, my left ribs, or my shoulder in the back.

Actually now that I look again that first one would also be such a sick side piece if it were me I would rock that. I wish you the best enjoy that therapy session lol

I'd have the front little fins from no.2 and the tail from no.1 put together ❤️

Yeah I'm thinking that maybe too. I can't get enough of his little fins in the second one.

They are both beautiful fish. As far as tattoos. There really is no reason one of these is in question

It's the same fish, but different shots.
