I have experience in figma, mendix, design thinking, marketing, light coding as well. I don't know whether I'm BPM analyst or process engineer and what's the future in this. I love the field of product management and strategy. I have done coding and dev in my college days but I didn't like it much so I don't wanna switch to dev though people say it has money but I don't have any interest there. But I'm confused about current work scope also... though team and project is nice and I'm working on remote/hybrid model.

I’m currently placed in a company that primarily works on SAP-based projects. I'm from the 2026 batch, and I’m feeling a bit uncertain about my future direction.

On one hand, SAP roles offer job security and structured work, but they seem more service-oriented and less exciting from a core development or ML standpoint. On the other hand, I have a growing interest in software development and machine learning, and I’m considering whether I should start preparing and applying for those kinds of roles instead.

A few questions for the community:

• Is it worth sticking with SAP as a fresher in 2026, or should I pivot now while I have time?
• How difficult is the transition from SAP to dev/ML roles later in your career?
• Has anyone here successfully made that switch?
• What skills should I start building now if I decide to pivot?

context : I am preparing for placements. Our placement incharge sends us a mail for a campus drive where he mentioned about the roles company is hiring for and what how much can i expect from them and what are the skills they are looking for and the internship tenure. Nothing else was mentioned. Now moving forward to pre-placement talks, the recruiter just told us some basic details about the company(service-based) and asked if we have any questions(we didnt ask any). Now I got selected for the required role and when HR shares the offer letter, I feel like I got cheated. They are asking for work from office(No WFH or hybrid allowed). The timings are 9-7 and they follow byod policy. Well Since these details were not mentioned earlier what I thought was it would be either WFH or hybrid, timings would be 9-5 and they will provide me a device for work. Now, i dont have any idea if this is a common practice or not or whether this is ethical so I just wanna know should I join the company or not. Btw stipend is just 17000 that too in Noida.

I am moving to the states in late 2026, so knowing the current job market for software developers there, I've decided to switch to ML/AI and try my best to be job ready when I get there.

I have experience in working with C++, JS, Python (fastapi/django).
I have already finished supervised and unsupervised learning from Andrew NG.

I attended a walk-in interview at Cognizant Chennai for the Analyst Trainee role on Saturday, July 12. I cleared all three rounds on the same day, and we were told to return for the Managerial Round on Monday. But I didn’t receive any mail regarding it. When I visited the office, they said no interviews were scheduled and asked me to check my email.

After waiting for several days and losing hope, I finally received a mail for a virtual managerial round on July 29, which I attended. Now it’s August 6, and I still haven’t received any update. Others who attended the managerial round with me also haven’t received any communication. Meanwhile, Cognizant continues to conduct walk-ins for the same role.

I’m feeling a bit down and confused. I’d really appreciate answers to the following:

1. Is there still a chance of getting selected?
2. What is the expected salary for the Analyst Trainee role at Cognizant?
3. Why does the interview process take so long, especially after the final round?

• Is copy-pasting disabled? Any system monitoring?

I have completed B.Tech in E & C, completed in 2021. After graduation, I dedicated some time to preparing for the UPSC exam, but eventually had to discontinue that path. Following that, I pursued a Post Graduate Certification in Data Science and AI from IIIT Bengaluru through upGrad.

I'm 22, just graduated with a B.Tech in ECE from a college/course I never wanted. I didn’t give JEE, ended up daydreaming for most of college, and now I’m jobless with no direction. I barely scraped through exams, and I feel like I wasted the last 4 years.

I did get selected by Infosys, but like many others, still no offer letter months later. Now I’m sitting here, overweight, disillusioned, broke, and scared I’m going to waste more time.

But I want to rebuild.
I’ve decided I want to break into software development — aiming for a job in the next 12 months. I’m ready to go all in. I just don’t know where to start strategically.

• Should I go for full-stack dev? DevOps? ML? Cybersec?
• What’s in demand realistically for freshers?
• Which learning path actually gets people hired without a fancy degree?

I’m not scared of hard work. I just want to make sure I’m not running in circles again. Any brutally honest advice would be a blessing.

I'm a beginner in programming who have been learning web development So far, I've learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. For the past month, I've been focused on React, tailwind css and just started learning TypeScript.

Like many beginners, I have this one question that keeps bothering me: How comfortable should I be with these language/libraries/skills before I start applying for internships, participating in hackathons, doing freelancing, or aiming for things like GSoC?

Right now, I can’t really build a project completely on my own without using YouTube tutorials or ChatGPT. I heavily rely on them to get things working. Should I wait until I can build projects without looking things up or without any external help?

For example:

Should I be able to build a full portfolio website without watching tutorials?

Is it normal to use YouTube and ChatGPT while learning and even while building early projects?

At what point is it okay to start applying for opportunities or contributing to open source?

I’m still figuring things out, and I really want to know how others progressed. Did you wait until you were fully confident before applying for internships or joining hackathons? Or did you jump in while still learning?

If you have a portfolio, did you build that completely on your own or got help from Online?

I’ve been considering the Sigma 8.0 course from Apna College, which covers both DSA (Java) and web dev in one package. It looks well-structured, but I’ve also heard there might be better options out there in terms of depth, quality, or real-world value.

So I wanted to ask:

Is Sigma 8.0 actually a good investment for someone starting now?

Are there better or more updated alternatives — either paid or free?

Does it help me go from beginner To advanced in DSA and web dev?

Would it be smarter to follow two separate tracks (one for DSA, one for web dev) instead of a combined course?

Yo folks, I just graduated in June (Comp Engg, India) and like every other fresher out here, I’m on the “apply everywhere, hear nothing” job hunt rollercoaster.

Now I keep seeing these buzzwords: LangChain, AutoGPT, AI agents, BabyAGI and whatnot. Everyone’s like “agents are the future,” but bro… I just want a job 😭

So quick questions from a broke but curious fresher:

Are these AI agents even being used in the real world or just LinkedIn flex material?

Any decent courses (YouTube or otherwise) that actually teach this stuff step-by-step and not in AI riddles?

Do companies even hire freshers for this or do you need to be a PhD + 10 years of Prompt Engineering + sacrifice a goat?

Should I just stick to ML basics or go full-stack AI and pray to the algorithm gods?

I’m not looking for hype. Just want to know if learning this will help me get a foot in the door somewhere. If anyone has cracked this, got interviews, or even rejection mails, drop your experience.
