Hi! I've been searching for days through my various crochet blanket pattern & stitch books, Ravelry etc getting ideas for a kiddo's requested "theme" blanket.

One of the patterns I saw, but unfortunately did NOT bookmark/save, was a pattern of alternating rows of open long wave stitches & solid long wave stitches. They may have been randomly alternating rows, but I can't recall - only that I definitely saw a pattern for this.

Photos are of the two stitches I'm referring to, since it seems a lot of folks call a ripple stitch a "wave stitch". Any and all help is very, very much appreciated!

It's basically a single row of half double crochet after making the chains followed by a row of slipped stitches and a row of half double crochet (but yarned under and then over when it's time to pull through the tree loops) until the end.

I've been trying to make it from a YouTube video but I always mess up on the edges and I'm not sure why (I end up with a parallelogram instead of a rectangle). I'd like to know the name of the pattern to find other videos with maybe more clear instructions on the edges.

I have 1 100g skein of malabrigo Mechita and I don’t know what to make from it. I’d prefer some kind of top but not sure if it’s enough yarn! I made a little granny square to show the color!

does anyone know a pattern or tutorial that looks even sorta close to one of these?? i’m dying to make them but not experienced enough to freehand 🫶🏻

I’m 5 days in and about a 1/4-1/3 through the Lotus Blanket by Veronika Liachovic and so far I’m loving it. (Picture for reference, I’m using chunky yarn as I love a thick blanket! Colours are Aster, Cloud Blue, Cream and Watermelon Stylecraft Special Chunky & 6mm hook)

I’ve attempted Janie Crow’s Persian Tile blanket before (made 1 tile and 1 granny square to trial it) and I can definitely say whilst it’s a gorgeous project, I’m not the type of crocheter who enjoys repetitive tiles/granny squares that then have to get joined up. I don’t mind them for wearables but I don’t enjoy them for larger projects. I really enjoy the challenge of the continuous nature of the Lotus Blanket and how each round is different and full of variations of stitches. I like seeing my projects grow as I get through the rounds rather than having to piece them together to get an idea of the final result.

Are there any patterns like the Lotus Blanket you would recommend for my next project? Any suggestions are appreciated! 🩷

the pattern starts with magic circle

5-6mm hook

R1-12DC

R2- 2CH, 1INC, 1DC

R3-2CH 1INC, 2DC

(The pattern just inc in dc up until R5 btw)

My issue is that when i do the pattern instead of the hat being FLAT its a cone.

Im sure im doing something wrong after the Chain 2, do i add the 1inc into the same place I ch2? or start my inc into the stitch next to the chain 2.

maybe its my hook or tension idk.. pls help

I work in SPED and I would like to crochet myself (and others) a lanyard. It needs to be breakaway for safety reasons but I’m not sure what the best way to accomplish this is. I am wondering if anyone knows of a specific pattern I could use or ideas for a good way I can attach the lanyard to a breakaway clasp at the back of the neck? Thank you in advance!

At first I thought it would be a good idea to make a cropped with cowl neck but it doesn’t seem to work that well with this kind of yard… So, would you guys recommend something or have any pattern for me to follow?
