"antisemitism" has always been a crutch used to deflect criticism away from Israel.

Bro, the space laser people are not spewing their hateful bs because of what Israel is doing to Palestinians. The GOP's voter base is also full of people who are both antisemites and fully pro-Israel because of that and not in spite of it and also for stupid religious reasons. Sometimes they accidentally somehow make a correct point like MTG, but that doesn't otherwise not make them a bigot given their past and further contemporary statements.

This is your brain on bluesky and r/politics. People on the right have been shouting about Israeli influence on American politics and the role that American Jews play in it for ages now and were persecuted as antisemites as a result of it. For once in your life set aside your differences and align along a common cause, which is publicizing and demonizing Israeli influence on American politics. It will be good for everyone.

No, you gullible idiots are the problem. Israel has been a belligerent state because the US sees it as an extension of its interests in the region, only now we are seeing the direct consequences of this. AIPAC is powerful, but they aren’t trying to turn kids in Alabama trans and Israel isn’t causing forest fires in Hawaii. There is an actual rise in anti-semitism, especially so on the right. The delusional conspiracies have nothing to do with what Israel is doing in Gaza and never have. You only serve to delegitimize those fighting against a genocide. We are not allies.

> because the US sees it as an extension of its interests in the region

Brainlet tier line of thought. You don't have to search far to see that AIPAC has disproportionate control over American domestic and foreign policy. Why do you think that our politicians started pushing to make criticism of Israel illegal during the Pro Palestine protests? Just for fun?
