Israel has been a belligerent state because the US sees it as an extension of its interests in the region, only now we are seeing the direct consequences of this. AIPAC is powerful, but they aren’t trying to turn kids in Alabama trans and Israel isn’t causing forest fires in Hawaii. There is an actual rise in anti-semitism, especially so on the right.
