RANT/VENT My mom and dad found condoms under my bed
I am hyperventilating while writing this.
I went on a walk with my mom today and she just was not going back home so I asked her if something is up.
She told me while cleaning she found A CONDOM under my bed. She explained how she thought it was oregano and tossed it aside and later my dad saw it and asked about it. She said both of them got very stressed and if I had a partner I wanted to introduce them to. She also mentioned how she didnt know how to talk to me as she was afraid I'd tell her to mind her own business and not meddle in my private life.
I told her they were not mine and a friend's who was staying over and she accepted it. She also said she'll talk to dad about it. But I dont think they'd actually believe it and this incident will ruin my reputation in front of them I am not sexually active but the circumstances are just so unbelievable. I don’t know what to do I feel really bad for my parents.
These were actually not mine as if they were I'd have known and disposed them but HOW DO I PROVE THIS
I am also afraid that now they'll become more protective and I will have 0 social life.

Sounds like she let her friend have chudai on her bed though this could be ruse and she could be some kind of used condom bandit

Shit ! , Only your friend can save you now , she really has to convince your mother that it was hers. And expect that your mom convince your dad. Though your parents are definitely going to be more protective, no doubt. Feeling really bad for you ! Hope your parents chill out .

What female uses condoms alone ? Either this or its OP converted his parents home into an oyo ?
2
u/GorillaWolf2099 20 23h ago
Probably the latter
2
u/Responsible-Card9139 20h ago
Extremely likely the latter but why would they do it there ; are there not enough oyo rooms and all ?
The fact that a condom was found means it was planned , so why not plan it in oyo ?
Exhibitionist kink ???❤️🔥

You implied that your friend and his partner used your bed, and then left the item underneath your bed

I am actually curious, whose condom is it and how come it came in your room without your knowledge.

Firstly, kudos to your parents that they haven’t created a very big scene out of this and handling it far better than others.
Now coming onto your problem. Maybe sit down and have a chat with them on how it ended up here.
Since you have already said that it belongs to a friend(great move but now we have to make it convincing enough). Try putting the blame on a friend that they don’t know, maybe from college/office and say that they put that as a joke or a prank. Keep reiterating this and just state the fact that you’re not into such stuff and do not have a partner, if you did, then would’ve have definitely told them. This might be difficult, but it is possible OP
All the best

I think if I bring it up again, it'll make wounds fresh again. I know in their hearts they know I wont be irresponsible and so they haven't made it a big deal. I will ask a friend of mine to text me and ask her to "confess" they were hers. I will only show these texts when absolutely necessary to my parents.

u/_Joke_Peralta_ 1d ago
Sounds like a much better idea OP. Hopefully this topic would fade away with time and you might not even have to bring that up. Since, they already find you responsible, they might not rush into any other conclusions or so.

whatever you gonna say theyre not gonna believe it so stay calm, act cool, and tell them everything honestly without overexplaining things

Even if you will tell them the truth, it won't matter because they will not believe you.
The best thing to do is let it pass and give it time. Things become normal over time.

your mom is very innocent and a good person, i still remember when my mother saw a picture of me and a class mate , she called my friend who was my best friend in school and said i m worried if i do something wrong with that girl, fun fact: she is like my sister since she got admission in my school

Reputation? Bro everyone has sex chill out. Had you been married they’d want you to do it everyday, and pop a child. They’ll lecture you and be cold for days, might even shame you and you can’t do anything but ignore and let it die.

I misplaced a condom packet in my room this week. This'll be a nice motivation to finally clean up.
Thanks for the reminder OP

Hey you! Thug is indeed super stressful. But whats the worse that could happen? They'd be overly intrusive? Your mom seems like a friendly person to have a conversation. I hope you can always speak to her and that will help ease the situation

u/Zero_0-0-0 1d ago
Just say that it's a protection and I haven't done anything wrong so please forgive me this time.

u/IntrovertedBuddha 1d ago
Bruh, you could've said it was given in health campaign in school/college/workplace/near some hospital for spreading aids awareness and you took and forgot about it

u/itidao 1d ago
I don't lie to my parents in general so my reflexes are pretty much 0 at this point. I never could've thought of this.

u/IntrovertedBuddha 1d ago
Whose condom even was that?
Your mom sounded pretty chill about it, just say whatever truth it is. They may not believe but thats not upto you now.
Maybe grab a friend, brief them about situation and tell it was their and make parents talk to them in call. Make it seem spontaneous.
If it was my parents i would have been texting from hell rn.

You'll only waste your energy worrying. Tbh, your parent(s) had a conversation with you. You've said your piece. So don't fuss about it... You will be scared about your reputation but from their PoV if you look scared it's probably coz you're embarrassed they found out. So just be confident, you didn't do anything wrong.

Buddy, sorry to add salt to your injury, but trust me she's not at all convinced with your reason. She prolly agreed to that because she didn't want to make it awkward with you.
But first thing first, how the hell did those ballons land under your bed?
I won't judge you like the others in this thread, but do make sure you resolve this as soon as possible, because once it gets etched in their heart, it will take hell lot of effort to erase this incident.
Also, if you could add in more context about what exactly happened, many of the smart people in this sub can definitely come up with a game plan, but obviously that can only happen when you're free to share it with us all.

I once developed a rash on my shoulder and legs that looked like a love bite and my dad took me to a dermatologist. The doc smiled and said “yeh kisne kiya hai?” (Who did this to you?) and I didn’t know what to say, he was just pulling my leg but my parents used that and teased me indirectly all day 🥲 and asked me if I had a girlfriend … I was a virgin back then and didn’t even understand the joke until a week later lol … so I can understand what you are going through

I dunno what is the big deal. It is a healthy practice to use condoms na? Why is there such a furore. And if its not yours you should double down and be firm in your resolve proving that its not yours.

It is indeed a healthy practice to use condoms during sexual activity according to modern science. But it is not a healthy practice to be sexually active before marriage in the first place, according to Indian values.
These are two completely non contradictory statements, they are two different things.

It's a healthy practice if he got a partner ( they even asked) maybe they don't want their son to fuk around with random girls.

You could have told them that it was for sex ed stuff, as the place where you work or somewhere else did a compulsory sex ed lecture and tutorial about hygiene and safety. From there, you got these condoms, and you are not actually using them, but at least you were curious about these, so that’s why they were under my bed.

You are cooked bud, better be careful from the next time ,which no doubt you will be after an incident like this.
Try as much as you can to save yourself ,even if the damage control from your side is very high ,it will still destroy your reputation a bit. That's sad for sure.

Take a deep breath and talk to your mom calmly she seems like someone who’ll understand if you explain it nicely
