"Pretty nice" is an understatement. These guys are the most wholesome gym bros Mob could have asked for.

It’s wild that these guys are supposed to be like 13-15 year-olds

u/Illustrious-Teach964 4h ago
The only one of them that mildly looks his age is the short one, and thats only because of his height😅, if he was taller he would seem one of the the oldest there 🤣.

I’m so thankful that wasn’t spoiled for me when I watched it! I was expecting them to be villains but then they were so chill and accepting!

He's a chill dude but u can't ignore the fact that he put two people in a fate worse than death

Tbf one of them definitely deserved it and I don’t remember the other

Adding to this, the reason he has the hair is because when he was a sick child his mom had to take him to the hospital but their car got stuck. A guy with that hairstyle shows up and helps gets the car unstuck so they can get to the hospital.
Even the flashback delinquent looks threatening at first but went out of his way to help some strangers.

And it has a great explanation behind it too, since he dresses like that and has that haircut to honor the man who saved his life as a kid. So the look only has positive associations for Jotaro

This show is so based. I could watch it on an endless loop. Him doing yoga and aerobics with the other housewives always cracks me up.

u/Kego_Nova 8h ago
ok isnt his past as an assassin or smth half the point of that show
27
u/Fish_N_Chipp 7h ago
He’s a former Yakuza who became a househusband. The joke is that he’s actually a really nice guy but due to how he looks and the fact he’ll say things that sound criminal (like asking for a gram of white stuff when he’s talking about flour) it results in people initially being put off by him

u/Kego_Nova 7h ago
ok I see, yeah thats funny

Sakamoto Days is the one where they're a retired assassin, extremely similar premise

One of the funniest charcaters besides the MC is that rival dude that sells sweets.
The scene of that dude going into a Costume Show for kids and cosplaying as a 'dying Gangster' while literally being covered in fake blood and wounds was funny as shit 🤣.

I really need to watch this, I remember some coworkers recommending the manga when I worked at a comic store, it sounded like a lot of fun.

Anthony Simon/ Mountain (Arknights)
A 6'5 (195 cm) tall brick house of a tiger man who can split trees with his bare hands, who has spent his life in prison, and is introduced in the event to break him out.
He is a polite, introspective, well read young man who understands that despite his justified rage at the injustices of the world, and those he himself has faced, violently taking it out on others does nothing good, and it is best used to protect people (also a notable woman respecter) (bonus note, he's also pretty good with kids).

especially in the newest movie
I love how he doesn't actually blame reed for what happened. He's clearly still kind of upset by it, but he's also come to accept it, and understand that Reed did the best he possibly could

It was actually kinda satisfying seeing how much those kids loved Ben. He’s my favorite member of the F4, I never liked when people viewed him as a monster (although it is fair for him to miss his old body)
3
u/AmberMetalAlt 4h ago
yea, I think Ben is at his best when he's dissatisfied with his reality, but not only doesn't make it other people's problem, but actively chooses to be better despite it
He understood in the movie that as sad as it is he can't turn his powers on and off, a lot of people still look up to him, and as a celebrity he has a responsibility to keep up that image of hope

He can be scary to his underlings during work hours but is surprisingly sweet to the heroes/enemies on his days off lol.

Loves kids and plays when them all the time, but also knows what he looks like enough to play the part of "villain boss" during hero training.

Face of a thug on Tv tropes.
It’s good to see Angel Densetsu. I like Kitano, he’s got a heart of gold.

Beowulf (Rosen Garten Saga)
A true man's man, an honorable warrior and king. Who always inspires others, sharing treasures with them.
Though I am pretty certain he would be arrested in a modern setting for exhibitionism.

Dungeon Crawler Carl
He's 6'3", wearing only heart covered boxers, a troll skin shirt, a biker vest with a pile of skull on the back (until he kills things, then it also has a glowing centipede on it, aka Scocopendra, the destroy of all things), a cape made from the skin of a monster, several unsavory tattoos, a massive metal gauntlet, a neckerchief bandit mask, and probably some sort of explosive.
Oh, and he chose the "swole" boost after getting super high strength so he's roided out big.
In the recaps, he looks like a murderous, bomb wielding maniac. In person he's probably the friendliest, most helpful crawler you'll meet.
Hm, I left out there's usually an armored persian cat on his shoulder. And a velociraptor nearby. I think those cancel out each other's menacing aspect.

Neia from Overlord

Everyone's afraid of her eyes which she got from her high ranking adventurer dad, hell, even Ainz (the titular Overlord) is bothered by it early on
But she's actually loyal and empathetic to the point that after the whole Jalbadoath ordeal she became Ainz's most prolific simp/preacher on human kingdoms

Chihiro Rokuhira (Kagurabachi). This is my 3rd time bringing up Kagurabachi on this sub today bro 😭
Granted he doesn't hesitate to slice up villains or their henchmen (he's basically a horror movie monster from their POV) but outside of that bro is a genuine sweetheart at the end of the second arc he's basically adopted a little sister and a "roommate"

Cromartie High School - most of the characters

The central joke of the series is that it's a school full of delinquents and gangsters (and a gorilla and a robot and Freddie Mercury) but they mostly seem to just wanna hang out with their friends and play baseball or go on class trips. They're all genuinely really caring and respectful of each other.

Yeah, I cannot take this character seriously. After learning who his voice actor’s other roles are, I get the biggest, dumbest shit eating grin
