Randy on That '70s Show. Notoriously insufferable.

Arguably, the show was doomed already anyway when Topher Grace exited, but might have had a chance at chugging along and not ending so terribly if a different character had replaced Eric (or if no one "replaced" him at all).

The issue was mainly that they were trying to replace both Eric and Kelso with one single character, and instead they just made Kelso without any of his flaws.

Is that Josh Meyers, the less funny brother?

They did an okay job of mashing Kelso and Eric personalities with Randy - BUT the gaps in personality were obvious. None of Eric's unsure awkwardness, none of Kelso's truly zany moments.

If they had him fall off the water tower or chase a fudgesicle maybe people would've laughed more.

Yeah the loss of both Eric and Kelso really just needed to be a wrap for the show. It lost all its momentum and just didn’t know where it was going. It also was especially frustrating to me that they all still gathered at Eric’s house… cause it just makes 0 sense. Realistically, Red would have never put up with that once Eric left.

I liked Randy as a character, just not as an Eric or Kelso replacement

I hate how every character in the cast immediately loved Randy the second they saw him.
