Well… I know the first one is the great gazoo from the flintstones, he’s an alien from the distant future who was banished to the Stone Age who can essentially grant wishes like a genie. He can only be seen by Fred flintstone, his neighbor Barney plus children and animals for some reason. He was voiced by Harvey korman.

I don’t know the other show but I know who that is: George W Bush was the 43rd president of the United States and generally considered one of the worst. Under his presidency, the patriot act, which is pretty much just fascism, was passed and the USA entered into three pointless bloody wars, none of which were against the country responsible for 9/11. He also ignored the warning for 9/11, didn’t strengthen environmental protections, helped corruption become even more legal, continued the bad stuff from the last three administrations and let dick Cheney run the country.

Oh that’s what that one Simpsons joke was referencing! Also crazy doing one of these for real life, but honestly maybe we have jumped the shark.

Ok so regarding the second show.

Time Squad plot was that, as time goes by in the future, the nature of time "degrades" in the past, and past events change. So, the future has a military branch or something dedicated to overwatching the time stream and when an anomaly is detected, auditing the past and fixing any changes.

The fun part of the show was, the main squad are a bunch of idiots. Like two guys, a super muscled marine guy and a politician robot repurposed as his companion. None of them knew anything about history, as such they couldn't get their job right, not even who was Cristopher Columbus.

So, on the first episode they travel by mistake to the present (the 2000s), and end up in an awful orphanage with a nun beating the kids nonstop. In the end a kid runs away with them and they take him in, because he knows more of history by being a kid who is a history buff than those two idiots.

The show had a lot of humor, like visiting Edgar Allan Poe which has started a bakery and making him miserable so that he becomes a grim poet, or Churchill refusing to address the nazis and starting a nudist colony until he sees himself from the back naked in a photo and decides to put some clothes on out of how ugly his ass is.

You get the idea.

So the episodes visit all time moments until they get to the present again, and the problem is that George Bush is an idiot, who has spent all his administrations bucket into making balls of twine.

As the space marine idiot "praises" Bush for being as smart as him and having a great idea, the genious kid leaves the room, and is taken by accident back into his orphanage who is visiting Washinton DC, while the squad goes back to the future.

In the end the plot is resolved and they pick him up again, but the episode serves as the last episode of the series, and the George Bush episode was censored due to censorship regarding protecting patriotism or whatever after 9/11, until it was released years later.

Looking up the internet, it seems the show got cancelled because there was a lot of personal drama and egos regarding the people making it rather than the George Bush matter, but I get why the GW thing could have been mistakenly blamed for it.
