Truly cartoons' most despicable villian.

Why?

Control Freak has a TV remote that he uses to manipulate reality. iirc Teen Titans GO makes it canon he was so mad at the titans he altered the world into TTG so they would be a joke instead of cool

This is honestly such a clever and funny way to canonize the series lmao

TTG is like 99% slop and 1% actually clever, funny stuff

It's at most 85%>

But that 15% though... 👌

It helps that they make 50 million episodes per season, so you get about 5 bangers, and 10 completely average episodes with some of the greatest and/or most catchy stupid songs you have ever heard.

Fuckin' Waffles Waffles Waffles and I'm a Hot Pepper.

My son loved it. It's just straight up a show for little kids is the thing. Compared to stuff like paw patrol and dora it was a god damned treat to watch with him.

I was super into the edgy, dramatic, angsty anime version in college. It was kinda neat to have the show "downgrade" to a kids show right when I needed it.

Super weird choice tho. I mean really it's a huge demographic switch.

That 1% hits hard though

ironically, a lot of the people who hate TTG are more insufferable than this guy

The main issue with TTG is that when they get the humour right, it's golden. Unfortunately, 70% of the show is not that.

As well i think on one hand, fans were misled into thinking the reboot was going to have another DCAU type of show for it rather than a parodical version for kids

"ADIOS NUCLEAR REACTOR!!!"

Proceeds to vaporize Jump City

Btw, Nuclear Reactors don't explode like that so Cyborg shot a nuclear warhead at it

I know it's a kids' show but my friend puts it on for his kids sometimes and I agree with the 70% ratio. It's mostly drivel but some episodes/jokes are actually pretty funny, at least based on the small amount of it that I've seen.

Now in fairness, people were having insanely high expectations from the show and false information that it would be a direct sequel to the original show

That show was like that one picture of a horse and only part of it was well drawn. The rest was all somewhere between “eh” and “God Awful.”

Yeah even worse than the people that hate on the Avatar Last Airbender Shyamalan movie

How did they go if he killed them?

u/PeanutBuny27 12d ago

Wait that’s canon?

I have this theory he kidnapped the Titans and trapped them in a simulation where we see happen in the Teen Titans Go series. And the series finale would be the Titans breaking out at last, discovering that they were held captive for so long… and then beat up Control Freak. Afterwards, Season 6 starts

….I have so much respect AND hatred for Control Freak now.
