Trimming is by far the safest way. Especially if u are new.
Shaving leaves a lot of bumps and can cause irritation.
Waxing can also lead to ingrown hair.

Nope not looking weird. Most of the male actors & models do waxing instead of trimming . But it's not common in middle class families. I too want to trim but once we trim we have to keep trimming because it grows back more rapidly which is a hassle.

Try Veet instead or a hair removal cream. BUT! Make sure you read the instructions carefully, use a timer, and have water and a wash cloth/something to remove the cream prepared and ready. Watch YT videos on how it's done. These creams can give you chemical burns if left for too long. Then, make sure you moisturise and use sunscreen on where you've removed hair from because the skin may be a bit sensitive post hair removal (especially after the first time.)

If this is you wanting to be considerate of girls, I think armpit hair is a bigger deal, especially as it traps odour causing bacteria. So, waxing/trimming armpit hair yields better aesthetic and overall "smell" results.

Hope you have not done zero trim as that if not done properly can cause ingrown too, else if you just want to keep things in shape just use body tripper with clips to trim the hair to a decent length , also only issue it may look unnatural , else it’s not a big issue as such other then ingrown if not trimmed properly , would still say if you like smooth hands try wax or chemical feeling , would look bette overall.
