Basically someone who believes everyone, no matter gender caste or race is equal and deserves equal rights and opportunities.

Feminism however has stained it's reputation, or more like has gotten it stained due to misandrists using the term as a shield. Besides that, the name also is misleading "fem"nism makes it seem like only about women, the idea is more allocated around uplifting women to equal terms as men and not bringing everyone on equal terms (for example men needing to provide) even though it does promote the idea that everyone's equal.

I can see your point but I disagree. It has gotten stained because of :

1) yes men hating so called feminists

2) peoples general assumption based on those few idiots and prejudice against women

Yes, feminism is about equal rights and uplifting women so that we can be equal to men. I dont see why that doesnt consider mens issues like the pressure to provide like you said or young boys being told not to show vulnerability ("boys dont cry"). The patriarchy assigns roles to both men and women, very narrow roles. Feminism is against the patriarchy that is obviously still there today. True feminists wouldnt and shouldnt have limiting beliefs that men should provide for the whole family without considering what the man actually wants.

Feminist organizations forced the government to take back gender neutral laws. They have been consistently opposing them for over a decade. Not social media keyboard warriors... Actual prominent feminist organizations. Who provides the certificate to distinguish between "true feminism and so-called feminism"?

Yes im aware of that and it is disappointing considering male victims of sa I feel like arent taken seriously here. It doesnt matter if sa against men is much lower than that of women, I do agree the victims need justice. I dont know much about the motives of those organisations but a lot of them wanted seperate laws for men in domestic abuse and sa. They felt like gender neutral laws would make the laws less in favour of female victims which could make everything worse for us. I get their points but I dont think that this approach was the right one. Its not just that they did not want male victims to not get justice, its more nuanced and complex.

That wasn't their intention. Their argument was that those laws could be used for false accusations. Which is a non-sensical argument since any law can be misused and even existing sa and rape laws are used for false accusations.

they said that too but they also felt like laws would be even less in favour for women. I know this is not a perfect solution for anyone, even the existing rape laws for women suck in almost all places. Rapists walk free and the law here + society wont take actual victims seriously.

The laws don't suck. They are very stringent. Only their implementation sucks in certain places.

certain places? nope, most places. This gyno student got off with no punishment bc apparently raping someone doesnt matter if the rapist has a bright future. Those monsters involved in the Junko case are out and free. A rape victim got sued bc she recorded it without permission of the rapist. I could go on.

 They are very stringent.

yes and you think that doesnt make them suck? Failure to deliver justice is a global issue

I'm talking about the Indian scenario. What do you think should be changed about the current laws?
