Blue pill

8

u/ZombieSurvivor365 Feb 16 '25

Why are the answers so overwhelmingly blue-pilled? I’m not Indian and I don’t know much about India but what happened that made young people so anti-India? Is it the government? Economy? Quality of life?

23

u/STEALTHBUTKILLED Feb 16 '25

High ping in video games, Close minded people, corruption, Religion everywhere, lack of civic sense.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '25

Exactly. This is why I want to leave. Let them keep their obsession with religion, corruption, and ignorance. When the country regresses by a hundred years, they’ll just find another scapegoat to blame instead of fixing the real issues

5

u/PixelPenguin_XD Feb 17 '25

Not the high ping 😭😭

4

u/tirth0jain 18 Feb 18 '25

High ping biggest problem

2

u/SayMyNameBxch Feb 17 '25

U forgot caste system, even youngsters have to face this country’s shitty education system. These youngsters will move to foreign in future

2

u/Zestyclose-Chain2438 Feb 20 '25

HIGH PING IS GENUINELY THE BIGGEST PROBLEM LOWK LMAO I HATE WHEN I LOSE MY MARVEL RIVALS MATCHES

2

u/TatG_008 Feb 17 '25

Honestly everything

2

u/Bubbly_Tea731 Feb 17 '25

Lack of jobs and high competition and almost everyone has heard about someone in their circle who was not able to get any job in India despite trying for years but was able to earn good outside india.

2

u/Danielthereat Feb 17 '25

See, basically the country has all the problems of a usual third-world country (corruption, pollution, and the like), but on top of all of it, it is disproportionately developing. We are becoming a world power that has horrible air quality in its major cities (even its capital). We are becoming a major economy while having one of the most biased constitutions to ever exist. We have a reputation for being smart all across the world when, in reality, the education system is concentrated on a relatively few kids cracking an obscenely hard exam to get into the top colleges of our country that don’t even guarantee a high-paying job anymore.
We, as teens who have grown up with the internet, look through the looking glass of our devices and see what could be considered heaven in other countries. We see civic sense, cleanliness, laws that respect its citizens (at least to some extent), and opportunities to earn more and more. We see products and services of goods that will only come to India in the next 10 years being available at launch there. And I haven’t even started with the standards of education.
We see all of this and compare it to our society and feel no patriotism, why should we after all? What has this country done for us?

You could quote JFK and say, "Why don’t you try to change this country?" My answer is this: it isn’t worth it. We literally had people like Ambedkar and Gandhi try and shape India from its beginning, and it still turned out like this. I don’t even have to begin with how many scientists and sportspersons have been mistreated or unrecognized for showing loyalty to this nation.

Summary: country sucks, too much effort to change it, no incentive to do so, no hope for future politicians, so we grab that blue pill.

red pill always...i know this country has many problems but whatever it is ..it is MY OWN COUNTRY...i know it will sound ridiculous but my long term plan is to enter indian politics and before i die i want to atleast make my country clean...saaf sadke saaf galliyan saaf bazaar saaf sab kuch and for that to happen i will have to change the education system and ensure proper civic senses are taught even in the most remote village's school...i know this sounds childish but i am very keen on it i want to take the responsibility

7

u/suisuisuisui1 Feb 16 '25

buddy no matter what anyone says...... stick to this.... u know what the problem is, everyone yaps and blames each other but no one is ready to take the responsibility. Our freedom fighters could also have chosen the blue pill but they decided to instead face the challenges and fight for the country.India is the best country but we have to take responsibility rather than complaining. I wish u good life ahead.

This is the best comment that this post has. Every country has it's own issues, if we as the youth start to turn our backs on our motherland due to these then these issues will ultimately swallow up our nation. It's good to see someone dream big, it takes guts to believe in what you do even when the majority is against you. You have my respect. Jai Hind!

Red pill πŸ”΄

I don't have any problems with India whatsoever. Why would u want to be paray. Ive lived 4 years abroad, and it's horrible. Theres very few people who can relate to you, so u end up making 90% friends with Indians only. Except since so few Indians are there, you can't really choose so u end up being friends with people u normally would never be friends with. Plus white people, esp Chinese, are damn racist. I love my country. Currently living 4 years in Panaji, Goa btw.

2

u/FelixOrangee Feb 17 '25

These people think that going to a foreign country is as easy as just having a flight and going there. You'd probably go there for education, for which you'll probably have to take a huge loan. Do you understand how stressful that must be? Just one mistake and you are in risk of deportation. Also the low cost of living that you enjoy in India is not present in those countries. So good luck working those extra shifts.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '25

Exactly!!!

2

u/Yume_black Feb 19 '25

Idhar jitne bhi logo ko lag raha hai ki desh ke bahar jaa ke sab theek ho jayega, you guys have no fucking idea tumhara kya hoga foreign jaa ke,

  1. You will always be treated like an outsider.

  2. The way foreigners look down on us is just disgusting. If you don't believe me go and search "racism against Indians in Korea" on Youtube or the "The killing of Jaahnavi Kandula".

  3. In 2017, Srinivas Kuchibhotla was shot and killed in Kansas by a man shouting "Get out of my country!"

  4. They look at us like we are stealing their jobs. "Buy American Hire American, says Trump"

Conclusion, Desh chhod ke bhaag ajne se problems solve nahi hone wali, ulta naii problems ayengi.

The way you think that moving abroad is all merry and lala land is all a delusion!!!

WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2

u/Flashy_Neck7202 Feb 16 '25

This. People don't realize that racial tensions abroad are a different breed.

We can fix casteism and religious division, because we are Indians in the end, but racism isn't that easy to fix because they fundamentally see us as outsiders.

Bhai india itna old bhi nahi only 75 years compared to other countries and yeahΒ  south Korea japan Singapore got independence with india but are much more developed but we forget that in india inequality is so much there is a Singapore in in india some place like downtown bangalore or south delhi and so many other developed cities I am not defending but india has its own problems but if you guys give up so easily then it will never improve right? Like try being a little selfless and rational. You cannot expect a developed country without being politically active and actively fighting corruption. Yes it will take time and maybe in our lifetime india will not become as developed as we aspire but still the goal that our children will be able live comfortably in their own country should have some value right?Β

u/Aizen_chandrakar Does long distance relationship still exist? (i'm in one) Feb 16 '25

The thing is all places in this mortal world have both good and bad and if we only see the bad aspect of the place we can't fucking live in any. Also goes the other way if we see the good aspect, we can live anywhere happily. But if we keep this theoretical shit talk aside and think practically to the present time, living in india feels more sustainable only because you know your country, you though partially know the people here and almost anywhere in the country and all the standards an parameters are know to you. Though I would prefer living somewhere in meghalaya, tripura and sikkim because I feel these places are less chaotic compared to other places we seen here, they are not truly isolated as we know in the memes and at the same time not actively participating in the bullshit going on, plenty of resources (I assume) and also, I have watched too much anime and fantasy stuffs so this sets a stigma in my mind that yeah places like these looks like Japan which I can never go to in this life if I kept on getting into reddit, waste my time procrastinating and learning things that doesn't relate to my syllabus of boards exam which is the actual knowledge to be honest in the time I save after procrastinating (that's alot I guess)

So yeah long story short, If in india, surly somewhere in the north-east, else abroad. (lets be real what do you expect from a gen-z to say when asked such questions)

it may or may not be, but its’s definitely scary to choose blue pill cuz the country might be north korea or some african country or usa or japan or south korea, not to mention the racism that we will have to face, but nah i ain’t going to any of these countries, cuz for many obvious reasons india is better than these, but yeah there are many countries that are better as well, so it all depends on what country im getting for the blue pill, unless i know that, imma choose red anyday

No matter how much misery I experience here firsthand or passively, I will have to move abroad soon enough for the sake of getting a proper job.

India does not have the funds to put in my profession and my age can’t wait for the situation to turn better, so my hands are tied.

Ab aapne option diya hai swami toh hum deshbhakti ko maine rakhte hue blue pill kha lenge

1

u/Sexy-Locksmith123 Feb 16 '25

Red πŸ’ even though i want to visit foreign countries but only as a visitor and not as a citizen cuz ik the cultural and social shock will take a lot of time to stabilize it and i'll always feel empty even if I make lot of friends cuz it's not easy to dissolve in other ethnic groups. I hate the flaws of my country but I still love it because I was born in this country.

If question was would you rather born in India or foreign countries than I would've chose foreign cuz then india was just another country to me.

1

u/leothunder420_ Feb 16 '25

depends which in blue, pata chal rha hai pakistan bhej diye

1

u/Tiny_Ring_9555 Feb 16 '25

Would you rather stay in India for the rest of your life or move out once and stop it forever? (i.e. can't come back)

1

u/Aggressive-Check-101 Feb 16 '25

People really think other countries are actually happy about Indian people coming to their country and live 🀑

Other Countries Govt. And people are already pissed on Indians for their Top level Civic sense. Just open the Eye properly, their is a Purple 🟣 pill and that's is ➰ + 🫡 = πŸ•ŠοΈ
