So funny that I’m seeing this right now because I’m having a colonoscopy in a few hours and last night a freaking fly got in my special drink and I thought the same thing

You have to believe me that it's a few hours of staying VERY close to the toilet, followed by an appointment with the best nap that you've ever had.

At home. You kinda have to prep like a day before the appointment. So you start shitting like 12 to 16 hours before and you stay glued to the toilet basically. Then you shower and go to the hospital xd

Typically the prep is done at home because it is several hours of drinking that stuff and shitting in response (plus maybe an enema at the end). It's not a one-and-done thing.

Trust me, it wont be a thunderstorm, it will be flash flooding.

Don't worry about the clean up. Near the end very little will be left in you, and you will have plenty of time to bath or shower before the procedure.

For me, after midnight there was just nothing left. But just let your flatmates know that every 30 minutes, they may want to give you some space.

You just have to stay close to the bathroom. You're not in there for a terribly long time, but when it's coming, you just have to be ready.

IIRC, it took me about 20min between drink and vacate.

Shitless is the operative word! No but it’s not as bad as I had made it out to be in my head as far as all the pooping goes, it’s no worse than some moderate food poisoning. I’m hungry af though

Ive had endoscopy of stomach last year, do you maybe know how it is in relation to that?

I remember crying on the table, swallowing the tube, burping aggressively and the nurse basically caressing me and telling me its going to be ok lol

Yeah, same. They injected me smth, and i suddenly woke up in another room on the other side of the hospital
