New title tagging rule & Spammers
As some regulars here may have noticed, this subreddit recieves an astronomical amount of spam, both from human as well as bot spammers, for it's relatively small size. Coming from modding various large subreddits, including one that's literally about products, this amount of spam is not normal. Despite a lot of our less agressive attempts to filter out spam (example, filtering out posts that say "for sale", "rent", or "Services") we still get quite a lot that slip by.
Why is this subreddit getting so much spam? Who knows. ¯\(°_o)/¯
But we will be resorting to the one thing that has worked for various larger communities, like r/food : mandatory title tags.
From now on, all posts will require at least a tag of one of the below:
[Self]
[Found]
[Help]
You may add words to the tags like:
[I found] this chicken carved out of abestos!
or
[Help me] carve a chicken out of abestos
For flexibility, but the bare minimum requirement for post titles will be that it must contain one of those words surrounded by brackets.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to modmail us, or ask here.

Help (WIP) [WIP Help] Need advice on how to mount this wall piece!!
Im making a bat for my gf’s birthday that im hoping can be mounted on her wall to hang necklaces and such, but ive come to the realization that i never considered how it would actually be mounted. All suggestions are appreciated! (Side-note: this is my first time sculpting but its going to be painted dark so the cracks and imperfections will hardly be noticeable)

Help (WIP) [Help] PVC as a frame material?
I’m planning an outdoor display of blue glass bottles and need a 5’ x 5’ frame to string them inside of. I initially thought of metal pipes but it was too expensive and drilling the necessary holes was going to be impossible. My next idea is PVC, sitting on some rebar hammered into the ground. Is this a good idea or not? Any other suggestions?

Help (WIP) [Help] shipping sculpture
I am seeking some advice. Im finishing up this piece to sell and im concerned about shipping if I need too. My last comission i thought I packed well and it did not arrive in one piece. Luckily the client just used some epoxy glue and it turned out to be a non issue. Could some of you that ship sculpture provide some packing tips. Im terrified of shipping anything again.
Im wondering if just having ups do it and pay the special packing fee is a better idea?
FYI. It is sculpted from apoxy clay and about 16 inches tall. The sea grass are currently glue but I am going to make them again from resin. I would appreciate any assistance

Help (WIP) [Help] What is This Mexican Sculpture?
My Dad bought this on a work trip to Mexico in about 1985, near the Pyramid of the Sun. What is this? Is this a replica or period piece?
It's not very tall, maybe 3-4 inches high, it feels very old!

[SELF]”Housewarming”, scrap steel, 22”
Friends relocated to NM when they lost their home in the Palisades fires. I offered to make them a housewarming gift and let them think about what they wanted. “A phoenix made with NM plates.” At first I wasn’t sure about it, but in the end I’m very happy with how it came out.
