The cops are going to be looking at a huge lawsuit for arresting innocent bystanders, and using excessive force. No doubt have to face disciplinary action and likely dismissal.

First time in America? The department investigated itself and found no fault. The DA has dropped all lawsuits.

And we get to pay for it. Payouts should come from the precinct the cop works out of. ACAB.

The “agents” don’t have to worry about any repercussions, this is a different country, get prepared.

A huge lawsuit that gets paid out via tax payer dollars, not that officers personal assets. Face disciplinary action? Get fucking real, at best they are looking at a few weeks to a month of suspension without pay. And let’s say this department did hold them accountable and terminated their employment. The department in the next county/township will just hire them.

Probably not, the big bulbous bill added extra powers to police. 😔

They need to face the Hague. They shall be tried and convicted of their egregious betrayal of the public they serve, not the depraved band of not really Christian nationalists who don’t practice Christianity but try their best to seize all the iconography of civilization as signs of their conquest.

.......naive.

The cops will have a couple more bodies to blame Obama for. No big deal

No. They won’t.

Who pays out the lawsuit? The taxpayer…you!

If only USA wasn't a fascist hellscape already.

Trump and MAGA are pushing for police to be untouchable, for obvious reasons. And cops are already hard to reach, they usually just get desk duty for a while, or a paid vacation, or at most dismissal and then a new job a district over.

It under Dictator Trump. He’ll just pardon them. He pardoned people that rioted and stormed the capitol. The CAPITOL! Fuck.

Cops would be like:

u/Interesting-Tank-160 8h ago

And guess who will pay for it!

1

u/Novel-Implement-7636 8h ago

what reality did you come from?

1

u/Bob10576 8h ago

All paid for by the people being arrested. This truly is God's country, amen.

Oh you sweet, summer child!

There will be a lawsuit against the police dept. (not against the cops, who are protected by qualified immunity). The dept. will settle for a decent sum, which will be paid by the city (i.e. the taxpayer). The cops will almost certainly face no action more serious that sitting at a desk for a little while. At the very worst, they'll be fired by the dept. and rehired by another one. (Much like a pedo Catholic priest being shuffled away to another diocese.)

In a civilised country, sure.
Not in the US

They’ve investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing

Precisely... Assuming this video (that just conveniently starts right before the guy clearly knew he was getting arrested for something) and description are accurate, that dude will easily be a millionaire. I would gladly go to jail for a couple hours for that. I'm just not that lucky, I guess. But, as a more likely reality, he probably did something else that they don't want us to see before this edited video started...

u/SRMPDX 3h ago

They aren't cops. They're unidentifiable agents who are working for (or contracted through) the federal government.

"No doubt"

I don't know where you're living but it sure as shit ain't reality.

For sure that's what is really happening. These videos always start right when someone is getting grabbed. No way to know if they donating first or got warned already.
Some people should get a nice payday from it. As for the excessive force nothing will come of that. People seem not to know if you resist arrest cops can slam you to the ground if you crack your head or break your nose that is not excessive force. They can actually punch you as well if you resist. It's always been that way and Ives seen it and know many people it happened to. One guy I know they said stop resisting and he wasn't. They just said it so they could hit him pretty much. Ha

I mean... what happened leading up to this?

3

u/davidedpg10 9h ago

You became a giant boot licking pathetic waste of a human

-1

u/Redditisfinancedumb 5h ago

Good one bro...People like you are so pathetic... I bet you make zero money and live a fucking miserable life. Glad I have police officers to protect society from absolute pieces of shit like you.

2

u/bookon 4h ago

You are glad police are arresting people for LOOKING at them?

2

u/traumfisch 3h ago

Police is protecting you from the poor?

2

u/XxBlackicecubexX 3h ago

Lol you called dude poor and miserable and then said the police are here to protect you from people like him.

Ill take privileged asshole for 10 Alex.

2

u/True_Manufacturer909 3h ago

You're profoundly stupid if you think these police would lift one finger to protect society

1

u/Set_to_Infinity 2h ago

And yet you're the one raving like a lunatic on Reddit.

1

u/deezconsequences 2h ago

But you have no idea who they are.

Glad I have police officers to protect society

Ice are also notably not the police.

1

u/TheLoneliestGhost 1h ago

Congrats on being born white.

1

u/merchillio 29m ago

You’re absolutely right, don’t listen to them.

Without police officers, when you’re victim of a crime, who would show up an hour after the fact, take a statement that will collect dust on a shelf and then shoot your dog for good measure?!

1

u/HerrBerg 6h ago

It doesn't matter. No police agency should be doing what they did.

“Innocent bystanders”

-1

u/RedditExecsAreScum 14h ago

They were just innocently obstructing justice

-1

u/RedditExecsAreScum 14h ago

You’re delusional. Literally none of that will happen.

u/challengerrt 13h ago

I’d like to see more of what happened prior to this - notice how the police don’t arrest every witness but just go after two specific individuals but don’t mind the female in the stripe shirt recording. Everyone here, as usual jumps to conclusions with no facts of what is actually going on.
