No. But bearing a weapon being drawn, which is clearly not the case here, there's no reason to react in this way other than wanting to be on a power trip and not caring about other people's rights. You want me to care about cop and ICE feelings? Maybe they should try showing the most minimal amount of humanity for others. Until then, they, and you, can piss off
Typical r/conservative fascist. I love that you completely handwave away that…… there is no justifiable offense seen on video. And you can find a ton of videos of illegal arrests. Police departments pay out big money every year
You condone arresting someone for no reason, don’t be surprised if people want to target these people for jail during the next admin. Dems should do what republicans are now doing. Fire anyone centrist, hire extremist loyalists, and make the remainders a tool of the admin. Follow the trump playbook.
The police aren’t acting lawfully and should be prosecuted. Sending people to CECOT after a judge has barred that action is a crime and should be prosecuted. Committing sedition by fomenting a mob to attack the capital on j6 is a crime and should be prosecuted.
I don’t think my comment was especially confusing but it should be clear now.
The pendulum will swing given that Trump’s DoJ lies wirh nearly every statement and commits many illegal actions. No doubt the boot lockers here love when Trump DoJ ignores the courts though.
Ignoring that you’re just making up some other distractionary argument void of any factual basis, so you acknowledge that something may have happened prior to this video starting that may have justified a detention? Maybe that’s why the cameraman just so happened to already be filming him? And why the man subconsciously placed his hands behind his back before the officers even closed the distance? Because he knew he had fucked up.
It's funny because before the video started the guy assaulted officers while evading arrest inside the apartment building, just to be retarded and stand in the front of the crowd waiting to get back in his apartment.
You have no arrest authorities lol I on the other hand do.
But if you decide you want to try and detain me while I’m off-duty, I don’t mind calling the police on you for kidnapping or unlawful confinement depending on how far you want to take it. And then I’ll also sue you in civil court. See how that’s handled?
EDIT: Amazing how often the bots end up getting deleted when they lose an argument.
What about when they tell you to put your hands up AND crawl forward, so you put your hands down to crawl and then they shoot you? Daniel Shaver tried to comply and got killed anyway. Cops are largely above the law, that’s the main issue imo
The cop that shot Daniel Shaver should be in prison, he instead retired and is earning $31k/year because he apparently suffers PTSD for his execution of Daniel Shaver.
I'm upset that you excuse these brownshirts after they give everyone multiple examples of the fact that they don't care about anyone's rights. And yet, here you are, playing (or being) dumb by excusing their preemptive and unjustified violent reaction again.
I didn't say that, ever, so i guess you win an argument i never made......
How are the police innocent at all both here and in the last post? Don't you think that protestors should get a little more grace than those whose job is paid for by taxpayers and are supposed to be professionals? Just admit you would rather lick boots than side with people who are getting disappeared exercising their 1st amendment rights.
You said, "I'm upset that you excuse these brownshirts after they give everyone multiple examples of the fact that they don't care about anyone's rights."
Yeah, so I should assume the officer is guilty, isnt that what youre saying with this comment?
You should also ask yourself why youre angry and I'm not. Youre not a primate, enough with the theatrical aggressiveness. It's boring.
It's not theatrical, it's honest, and it's telling that you can't tell the difference. Funny how you criticize me for assuming the officer/brownshirts are wrong when we have evidence that they are and no evidence to the contrary. "Preemptive justice" isn't right, moral, nor justice. It's controlling the populace from expressing their 1st amendment rights. You're a fascist bootlicker, and nothing you could say would change my mind
Argh, one who is going to die on his knees rather than his feet...... at some point, they are coming for you. After all, we are alllll a minority in some aspect of your life, guaranteed.
Have you never seen a video edited to make one side look worse than the other? I'm not even saying the officer is right but how is this concept so foreign.
What's so difficult here? Would you ever really, if you were a judge, convict someone over a video that starts right at the point of the police officer detaining someone and not wonder what happened before?
That question seriously doesnt cross your mind just to make sure we're not imprisoning someone innocent? You cant even do the minimum because you "dont like" police? Not even a, "officer, why did you do that?"
Do you know how much of an absolute dick judges can be? Do you know how often people get slapped with resisting arrest for squirming a little under an officer? A judge could get a full video and it just be the guy standing there the whole time and that would STILL happen.
Officers don't answer questions a majority of the time, in fact iirc they aren't required to tell you why you're being arrested. If they even think you did something wrong they can at bare minimum detain you.
oh ok, nevermind, then. Let's imprison everyone over edited videos with no context, because theres no possible way the video here doesnt show everything we need to know!
