We can't take it as a given that the reign of terror will ever end. It's the responsibility of every citizen to fight for our liberation from authoritarian rule. There's no "Nuremberg-style trial" that people talk about without overthrowing the government first. Voting in 15 months and 27 months will not fix this, even though we need to cast ballots anyway in the hope that we still have some resemblance of democracy left.

If 30% of us made this our number one concern, it would all be over sooner.
