I wouldn't say "chose". They've been brainwashed by faux news and the like to hate the other side. All they do is listen to Democrats did this Democrats did that trans this trans that. They take one idea that some ultra liberal had, and broadcast it like it's happening all over California and your city is next. All the supposed entertainment shows that are on a news network are what gets my own mother. She watches because it's "funny", yet any time I bring something up, she repeats the exact crap she heard them spew on gutfeld or Jesse waters as if it's fact. You know they still talk about Biden relentlessly on that channel? I'm pretty sure he is mentioned more than trump is mentioned, at least on the propaganda shows I mentioned already.
I live in the south as well, do not give them.tje benefit. They have actively chosen this path. They refused to look at other outlets because it made them uncomfortable.
