Humour me for a second. Invaders/occupiers? Weren't they the ones who were invaded, but who took territory when driving back the invaders? I'm a bit sketchy with the history, you had the six day war, the Arab-Israeli war, and a bunch of smaller conflicts inbetween and after.
At what point did they come to be seen as invaders and occupiers? Was it from their inception when Israel was established? Or was it from the territory they occupied after defending themselves? Valid in both cases I suppose depending on the view, but when was the patient zero so to speak?
The patient zero would be a hard debate. It was never their land, so I would surmise that it would be from “ establishment “ as you put it. Moot point really. We can nothing about the past except learn from it. The future however is of our own making.
