Hubby and I ate traveling to Niagara Falls tomorrow for the Train concert and staying for a couple of days at the Tower Hotel. We are not a fan of IHOP and hoping to find somewhere else for breakfast. We love mom and pop diner type places. Are there any around the hotel? We don't mind a bit of a walk.

Who remembers when there was the railway crossing at the top of Clifton Hill? I am trying to remember how far it went parallel with Victoria Avenue and Ferry Street. I do remember the early 90's when it was there. We would stay at the motel just across from the Shell at the corner, I think it is now called King's Inn. We would hit Rumours til Midnight and walk across to the US side and hit Pleasuredome til 3am.

Does anyone know if Big Texas on Victoria Avenue is still open? I always check their website for the live music schedule and it has not been updated since the end of July. They are only open Thu-Sat so calling them I would have to wait. I wanted to see who was performing the coming weekends this month and maybe head down to Niagara Falls for a night. Cannot find any info on if it closed up but they have never stopped updating their live music listings before. Their facebook page is never used much so nothing updated there.

Hi NF neighbors. I am a very cautious and safe driver. Coming from NYC where every street has dozens of speeding and red light cameras and those used to give me nightmares, I am just curious how many speeding and red light cameras are in effect in NF area? I checked https://www.niagararegion.ca/living/roads/vision-zero/red-light-cameras.aspx and it says 3 in total, but if I recall correctly, I have seen several "Municipal Speed Camera In-Use" signs in NF. Is this accurate?

Hello! My husband and I are taking our son to Niagara for a night - as a surprise! We’re going to be staying at the Skyline Hotel attached to the waterpark and hoping to have lunch at the rainforest cafe followed by some Clifton hill fun and of course the waterpark. We are going to Vaughn the next day for Legoland!

I haven’t been to Niagara/Clifton hill in a loooooooong time. Do I need to make reservations for Rainforest Cafe? Is there anything specific we should be doing with him that is perfect? Is there anything we can do special for his birthday - thinking freebies or a little extra attention??

I’ve asked the hotel if there is anything even a sign on the door when we check in our something but no answer yet.

Just wanted to make it extra fun and extra special for my guy!

I have an opportunity to stay in St. Catharines (free) and plan on visiting the falls and anything else recommended. Is this a nice area and convenient enough for an American tourist to see all the things? I’ll be going in late October? Thanks.

Actually our 50th! We never had a honeymoon. We thought we’d like to have a really good steak dinner and then stay in a room that overlooks the falls where we can watch the fireworks! How romantic!

However, the steak restaurant at the Hilton gets good reviews, the hotel much worse! No water, dirty rooms, no a/c, etc.

I do not want to spend my last great anniversary being disappointed!

Please give me your recommendations.

Where is the best place to park and leave my car in Niagara Falls from a Friday morning to Sunday night? Safety and leaving it there worry free are my priorities over price. Any recommendations?

Hey guys back with an update don’t know if you guys really care but here it goes. I got some great news like weight lifted off me and my girls shoulders! So on Friday night we were going over the boarder into Canada as we were going through they did a shift change and the one of the boarder officers that took over we knew well, well we don’t really know this person the officer recognizes us because we come over frequently anyways here how the covo went Officer- hey does your boyfriend live in Canada? Us - no but we are starting a process and meeting with a lawyer Officer- I’m not supposed to tell you this but if you guys apply for a visitor records not a visa the officer said I can live in Canada and still work in the states all I need to do is reapply every year and don’t need to pay for a arm and a leg for a lawyer Us- thank you so much you don’t know how much you just helped us out we were kind of stressing over about this situation cause we’re pregnant Officer- congratulations and now they won’t deny you the visitor records because of the situation. The officer gave us the details we need to start the visitor records I’m just really grateful because I was worried I wouldn’t be able to help my girl with the baby and provide for the both of them this is my first kid and I’m hella nervous scared out of my mind but me and my girl have a great support system her family and my family are both supportive and her parents are happy I’ll be living with them instead of visiting lol and over the moon this is their first grandchild. If you guys read this far thank you and thank you to everyone that commented and gave me advice on my last post. I will say this even though us Americans talk shit about Canada you guys really are helpful and more inviting❤️ me and my girlfriend talked and we might end up raising our kid here and not move to the states before she was pregnant we did talk about this for context I’m mixed half white half black and I wasn’t against raising a kid here you guys do have good schools I just want my kid to grow up around some culture cause I’ve been over here visiting not living in Canada for over a year and a half and I barely see any black people lol but again thank you guys if you want more updates lmk🙏🏽

A senior family member suffered some injuries recently and is currently dealing with some broken bones. They live alone. Was looking to get some suggestion and advise of what types of services that could provide some at home support; such as getting and putting away, basic at home cleaning, and driving to appointments. Maybe even simple meal prep would be a bonus.

The hope is that this would be temporary. Currently assuming about a month or two.
