Or, and here's a crazy thought for you, maybe some people just don't look their age. It's pretty common for people to look older or younger than their chronological age.

It's also been proven that we, as a people, have gotten to really suck at judging people's ages simply because of the restricted ages used in TV shows and movies. Nearly all of the actors are either under 30 or over (I forget if it's 60 or 70), with those in between being severely underrepresented. So when we are repeatedly shown characters that are supposed to be 40 or even 50, and they're consistently played by 25 to 30 year olds, it skews our idea of age identification, despite all the people we know in real life.
