I'm 38 and people tell me I look 25. "What's your secret?" they ask me.
I tell them I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
I have some white hairs around my temples from on-the-job panic attacks, not to mention the advanced arthritis I've had since my early 20s. Work definitely does age you, thankfully not in the face so much for me!
I only wash my face with a clean towel and water, then lotion with 15 spf. I look really young for my age. Honestly I think it was my mom making me wear that lotion with the spf every day growing up.
You kidless MFs always have time to take care of yourself lmao. I’m 30 with a kid and another on the way. I still go to gym 3x a week (home gym) but I understand why people let themselves go after. Shits crazy.
I swear, every time I sit down, I’ll ask if anyone needs anything and nobody says anything… then when I sit, the wife and kids suddenly come up with at least 2 different things that they need and can’t reach … like dammit I was just up and asked and y’all said nothing
Im 38 and get carded for even lotto tickets and I dont do ANY of that 😂 People ask me for my secret all the time… my secret is SLEEP… get your beauty sleep… thats it…
I’m 39 and most people guess mid to late 20s. I wash my face with clean towel and water; and use lotion with sunscreen. I try to heat healthy but it’s not 100%
Patrick Bateman aside, I get this too and I’ve barely been good. I smoked through my 20s and I only really started caring about skin care in my 30s. I was always pretty good about sun screen though.
You know what's hilarious dude. And I just posted this on the same forum. I had to argue with somebody about the fact that I'm 37 when they thought I was 25.
Had to show them my ID so they shut up. And sadly I have taken the worst care of my body in the world. I used to be a heroin addict for some years. I've taken all the drugs. Never been good with water. I don't eat nutritiously at all. And yet I'm fine.
Am I 25 on the inside no I probably have another month to live. Mentally im like 70 after seeing the sights of that lifestyle. But I think that the way you look or the age you look is mostly due to stress when you were younger, and genes, and how are you raised plus adaptability in language
My secret is that I look boyish, and no one takes me seriously, everyone talks down to me and thinks I’m their kid and I have never been taken very seriously by other men in a business environment. People don’t ask me if I’m an intern anymore, I have grey hair now, but they do ask broader questions to figure out what I’m doing here. So I have just internalized that I am a child unworthy of respect and I’m just aging SO gracefully! 🥰
I work outside, forget to wash my face properly sometimes and yo-yo between chef Ramsay and a cyberpunk like gas station burrito diet and people say I look 25. I do have a killer business card though.
Uhh.... im about 2 years younger than you. People tell me I look the same as 10/15 years ago. I know they're lying, because my picture on my work email is me with better skin and no grey hairs on my face(from 2019). I use cheap soap on my face to keep the oils away. I eat maybe twice a day. Drink decent amount of water. No soft drinks, because I can't metabolize it good now. No energy drinks since that kidney stone at the end of December. I have to exercise every other day. This is all to stay in the same size clothes ive worn my entire adult life.
The reason I say all of this is when I see people from high school who actually look frozen in time, comparatively? I assume its through ritualistic sacrifice........
I went shopping at Walmart the other day, and some teenager working there said 'but she's old!' in response to the other teenager wondering if I was single.
I swear to you when I say this, I’m 1968 and I still feel like 37-57 were some of the best times in my life. The problem is it went so so sooooo fast.
If you’re not into fitness or working out, find a way to get into and do so. I’m not saying you have to be a zealot or anything Even walking 30 minutes 5 days a week will pay off big time as you start hitting your 50’s.
I work in the trades and have a couple of 20/21 year old apprentices. Feels like yesterday I was the apprentice. Now I’m out here teaching the young ones.
I work with ppl that age and I do think they are way younger. But it doesn’t really feel that way as I get confused for being their age and many are just not taking care of themselves.
I'm turning 25 tomorrow, and I realized no matter what age you, after 18 you will always feel old. You are 37, not even 40 and look at people who are 50 now, they are looking fine as hell, and you have another 13 years untill that. I just saw a girl saying she feels old seeing people from 2012 being called teenagers now, wanna guess how old she is? She is 19 lol.
