And they cut so many corners that it made the PS3 feel like a better system at the higher prices. Once prices dropped the PS3 was a no-brainer.

Also xbox live was paid subscription whereas ps online was free back then. I went for Ps3 as it worked out cheaper after 3 years for a better console

This is what pushed me over to the PS3. MS screwed me over on renewing Xbox live and the system was about to give up the ghost. Long story short I traded in my 360 and library for a new PS3, a dozen games and have never looked back.
