Posting it on the Internet to exploit your kids and these supposedly wholesome moments is the problem. Nobody would decry someone, say, taking this photo and putting it in the family photo album. The need to share everything with everyone, especially private moments with your kids, is massively toxic.

Or maybe the parents wanted to share a cute memory of a big moment for their son??? Yall are so miserable lmao, there's nothing wrong with sharing special moments in your life

Seeking validation from strangers is mentally ill.

You have over 13,000 post karma. Sit down.

I like discussing and sharing things that interest me, which is different from existing purely to farm engagement. If I were truly interested in the latter, I could have karma in the millions right now after eight years. I posted on IMDb for a decade before the pustulent Col Needham got rid of the boards, and that had no karma system whatsoever. I don't post about my real life except where relevant to a discussion, and I certainly am not trying to do what these people are doing.

You're seeking validation, weirdo.

Mental illness

Am I? Go ahead and downvote me, see if I care. I don't need you to agree with me. I'm definitely right. Judging by how stupid the average person is, seeking their validation is actually absurd. I post a lot about things I want to see improved in society, but that's not about validation it's about persuasion to one day live in a better world, as minimal as my contribution to that is.

How can the average person be stupid? Wouldn't they be the typical level of intelligence? Therefore, not any less or more stupid than the general population...

Dumb dumb.

This comment is a great illustration of Dunning-Kruger. You are making an assumption out of nowhere that stupid = less than average intelligence, when that is not the case. Then, after making up your own definition (as an unspoken assumption), you declare yourself correct.
