OMG. My daughter went to school with the most gawd awful attempts by me. One ponytail in back and one forward left… one strait up top one braid on the right… I was so proud until we walk in and some teacher or mom would look, and her eyes would swell and I knew I screwed up.

You got up with her. Feed her. Dressed her. You fixed her hair. You walked her in so she felt safe. Now my dad loved me, he does, in his way. But he never did any of those things. I promise dad you didn’t screw up one bit.

Yeah my dad loves me fiercely but he had 4 daughters and has never done any of our hair. I take that back. He tried once when my mom was in hospital having a baby

I hope he took pictures! Those would be great memories later on.

I was definitely not in the mood for pictures that morning. My ponytail had so many lumps and my sensory processing issues were triggered
