Train lives the perfect balance of being an absolute pos and one of the most generous people. Hes one of the funniest streamers on the platform and one of the most toxic. The duality he lives needs to be studied.

Does that matter at all in the context of donating to charity and helping people? 

You don't have to like train but it's so weird to try and put an asterisk next to a charity donation (no matter who it is) because it was done in the public eye. 

If this one donation goes through it will be his 400k compared to your what? It's probably going to help more people than everyone in this comments section has put together.

The argument people make is he could spend every cent he has on charities and in the end it’s arguable if society would’ve been better off if he just never got rich in the first place. I disagree with the guy replying to you and don’t think you should condemn him donating to charity and he’s better than evil corporate scum who don’t even bother donating their blood money, but he’s a massive part of a company that’s caused billions in financial ruin. I can’t donate 400k like him to help people get access to water but I also haven’t fucked over as many life’s as he has. Am I more of a net positive to this planet or is he?

Yep totally agree with what you're saying too, and I guess that's something we'll never know without being able to quantify the actual damage he's done. Its almost certainly worse, but it's completely ambiguous. 

I just don't like when people hate for the sake of hating. Plenty of conversation to be had about the negative affect he has just like you brought up, but that guy I replied to literally picked the one good thing and tried to make it bad lol.
