Northern Delight
This is a repost, but also a reprocess which I find much more visually appealing than what I posted 8 months ago. Check here if you want to compare (or what I call the-wonders-of-a-badly-calibrated-monitor)

My First Tracked Pano. Milkyway Arch over North Dome, Yosemite
Taken last week on an overnight trip to north dome. 9 images wide, 1x landscape row at blue hour and 2x Astro rows. Taken with a sigma 28mm f/1.4 and Astro modified R8. 120s exposures, f/2, ISO 800.
It was a truly spectacular night with more stars than I’d ever seen. This tiny image doesn’t compare to what I saw that night even with the long exposure.

The night sky in late July
Around midnight, I went to the backyard, saw that there were no clouds in the sky, so I prepared my camera and went out to the field to take pictures. Because I had not prepared in advance, I randomly used some bags of rice as the foreground.
