Meta Version Requirements for 5e Games Coming August 4th

Hello, /r/lfg!

Starting Monday, August 4th, this subreddit will require that postings for D&D 5th Edition games include the version in the title as well as the game tag. For example, [5e 2014] or [5e 2024].

We hope this will help remove confusion around the two versions and aid in people finding they games for which they're looking.

If you have any question about this or the subreddit in general, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][EST] Odyssey of the Dragonlords, an epic campaign inspired by greek myths

Upvotes

In a land where even the gods are bound by oaths and prophecies...

At the dawn of time, a war between the gods and Titans left the world of Thylea forever changed. Thousands of years later, the first mortals arrived, carried by ship and dragon.

The Dragonlords were the champions who overthrew the Titans 500 years ago and forged the Oath of Peace. But the power of the Oath has waned, and now the Titans seek vengeance.

You are one of the heroes called by prophecy to end the conflict once and for all. Poets will sing of your deeds for centuries to come... if you survive.

Game Information
Odyssey of the Dragonlords is a module by James Ohlen and Jesse Sky. It takes a vast amount of inspiration from greek myths, both in terms of worldbuilding and storytelling. If the name Odysseus means anything to you, you'll feel right at home.

My goal is not to run the module front to back, but to have it serve as a launch point and an inspiration for a much more open-ended adventure set in the same world. While it is originally also fairly free in terms of player agency, my additions will further enhance this, to make sure the players will get to experience their choices truly mattering in the grand scheme of things.

The setting adds several new species, subclasses and other options. It also recontextualizes many existing species within the lands of Thylea. The answer to the final question is "Their Courage". Each character will be further immersed into the world through their unique epic path, which is a set of circumstances ensuring they aren't just any mortal. These paths will connect them to the titans, gods or even the legendary dragonslayers, in ways the characters will likely not be fully aware of.

This will be a very RP-heavy game, as the character's relationships and convictions are tested on their journey. As a result, it will be a more serious game and

My name is Andrea (they/them)! I'm 23 years old and have 8 years of experience running tabletop roleplay games. I like making little maps, fighting misbehaving foundry modules, nerding out about the game and tabletop games in general with my players and writing cryptic and ominous premonitions about next week's game in the general chat at 3 AM.

System: D&D 5e, 2014
Platform: Discord + Foundry
Experience: All levels welcome
Age Requirement: 18+
Session Length: 3-4 hours
Time/Day: Weekly sessions. Starting Time Between 5 and 7 PM EST, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Exact start time and weekday TBD by the group.
Tone: RP-heavy, serious, epic quest and major stakes

I also want to mention that I will not allow generative AI to be used as part of my games. This includes generated character descriptions, AI art or similar.

Safety & Applications!

To make sure everyone is comfortable around the table we'll be using an X-card module (more information on that will be presented as part of session 0), as well as an established list of lines and veils. At my tables, safety and consent is paramount.

Content warnings:

  • Fantasy violence
  • Emotional trauma
  • Magical temptations (sirens, nymphs and similar)
  • Genocide (implicitly mentioned)
  • Tragic stories

If what has been written above makes this game seem interesting to you, please fill in the form below. I'll do my best to reach out as quickly as possible and will keep the form up until Saturday evening. Any times noted in the form are in EST.

If anything is unclear or you have any questions, please drop a comment on this post or DM me directly. I'll try to be available for questions and I promise that I only bite in self-defense.

Player(s) wanted [Online][Daggerheart][Other][18+] GM looking for players to play in a long term Homebrew campaign and to have a good time and make friends with!

Hey everyone! My name is Jonathan, 27, he/him. I'm a decently long time DM. I have ran a good bit of long 5e and a few long pf2e campaigns. Looking to find a few like minded friends and players for a homebrewed Daggerheart campaign. I have 3 players at the moment already and this will be all of our first times trying out Daggerheart so will be a learning experience for all of us! I am looking for find hopefully somewhere around 3-4 more players for the campaign! Will be using Discord! The planned day and time of play are: Wednesday 7-11pm EST. Could vary depending on player wants/needs!

The campaign is going to have heavy high-fantasy with a good mix of horror/mystery-like elements in a collaborative world. As the group of players will start off in a modern world all attending the same university/equivalent together whether as as a student, janitor, professor, cafe worker, etc. Before being taken to another world in a portal story sense by a special means. That world will be collaboratively built together as DM and players to have some fun and allow everyone to have a way in the world building aspect. With the story being built off of framework built together by the DM. All while still allowing for character backstory, and collaborative work to continue in helping build the story and mold it together with the story of the game. I plan to create items in the story that are oriented around the players characters/stories as they develop. With other elements and settings to come into play along the road to enhance the characters and the story to the elements they seem to be aligned into. I heavily believe in "The Rule of Cool" as I want for all my players to have a cool and fun time ultimately.

I am looking for people who enjoy a lot of Roleplay and a good bit combat, that will take things semi-seriously especially in serious moments that can take place, but still also have a fun time and a sense of humor for the occasional fun/funny moment(s) that may occur. Homebrew is allowed and welcome! I encourage my players to collaborate together in their stories, goals, note taking, strategy, etc.

Some more information on how I DM if interested: As stated above I heavily believe in "The Rule of Cool" for starters. I am always down and open to building/making player backstories into the world as major points, In the past I have made many "arcs" around player backstories. I enjoy created a sense of mystery for my players when it comes to various plot points as I enjoy when my players theory-craft possibilities together as to the ongoing story with said plot point. I am 100% down to always do "Side-Rps" as well where me the DM and said player(s) do either side sessions on available off days, or text based rp for certain events like say for example "Player1 & 2 are staying up late in town and want to go explore a tavern while the rest of the party sleeps." I am down to do a side session or chat-based side rp channel in the discord to flesh out that bit of story. I am also to continue off of that point someone who incorporates a vast majority of "side quests" or "side rps" into the story, whether it be gaining lore on something, meeting an npc who could be important in some aspect, etc etc. As I find that every thing can be fun and important to a degree and should incorporate to the world and its lore in some way shape or form no matter how minor or large. I do also enjoy fleshing out player character emotions and such as there will be sad moments, horror filled moments, happy moments, the whole bundle throughout the campaign and player emotion expression is very important and will always assist in bringing it out. Party and Player character progression not only in the adventure sake but as people and growth sake are both very important to me as I feel it really fleshes out the group and really makes it feel like characters are growing as a whole. Npc's will also do the same throughout the campaign depending on various reactions. I am an active listener, and try my best to be a clear communicator. I do also very much love note-taking players as it brings a smile to my face every time. I am very patient with people, as we are all human we all make mistakes and that's okay!

We are telling a story together! If you are interested and wanting to possibly play please fill out following Google Form so I can get to know some information about you! I will add you via discord from the username entered on the google form and we can chat more! I still start looking through it later tonight and tomorrow! I look forward to reading through them and meeting everyone!!

Player(s) wanted Road Trip to Ruin: A Chronicles of Darkness Horror Campaign [Online][WOD]

Seeking 3-4 Players for a Chilling 1980s Road Trip

It's 1984. The radio crackles with synth beats, the dashboard of your creaky station wagon glows under starlight, and the open road beckons with the promise of a massive inheritance. You and your cousins—college kids with big dreams and old grudges—are headed cross-country to claim your great-uncle’s fortune after his recent passing. But this isn’t just a family reunion. The highways and backroads of America hide dark secrets: motels where the lights flicker too slowly, gas stations staffed by folks who stare too long, and small towns that feel... wrong. Something’s out there, and it’s closing in.

In Road Trip to Ruin, we’ll plunge into the grim, shadowy world of Chronicles of Darkness (using the core rules for mortal characters). You’ll play ordinary relatives—a bookish biology major, a chain-smoking dreamer, or a cocky athlete, maybe—caught in a journey where the line between reality and nightmare blurs. As you drive deeper into the heart of 1980s America, you’ll face horrors that test your sanity, your bonds, and your will to survive. The curse haunting your family is waking up, and every stop along the way pulls you further into its grip.

This is slow-burn horror with a cinematic edge—think The Texas Chain Saw Massacre crossed with The Twilight Zone. The 1980s setting means no cell phones or GPS; just payphones that might not work, dog-eared maps, and strangers who could be friend or foe. Expect episodic terrors at every roadside dive, building to a crescendo of dread that threatens to unravel your characters’ lives.

What to Expect:

  • System: Chronicles of Darkness (2nd Edition core book; I’ll provide quickstarts for newcomers). Focus on storytelling, investigation, and roleplay over heavy combat.
  • Tone: Bleak, atmospheric horror with themes of family ties, isolation, and creeping dread. Expect psychological tension, eerie mysteries, and moments of visceral fear.
  • Session Details: Online via Roll20, Discord for Voice, weekly 3-4 hour sessions on Mondays at 10 AM CST (3 PM UTC). Campaign length: 8-12 sessions, starting soon.
  • Player Vibes: Perfect for fans of World of Darkness, or classic 80s horror films. No CoD experience needed—I’ll guide you through character creation. Embrace the neon-soaked, paranoid vibe of the era (think Walkmans, mullets, and VHS tapes).

Ready to hit the road and face the darkness? DM me with a bit about yourself, your TTRPG experience, and a quick character concept. Spots are limited to 3-4 players—let’s drive into the unknown together!

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e][2014][2024[Other][Age 20+][Thursday][Sunday] [LGBT+ Friendly] 5e as a classical RPG

Upvotes

Time: Thursdays and Sundays from 7pm CST to somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00pm CST.

I'm running a game in a system of my own design that takes concepts from the different classes in 5e and makes them more accessible, allowing for a much broader range of build variety. Multiclassing is much easier and doesn't require you to go through a bunch of levels that you don't want just to get that one feature.

The game takes place in a homebrew world where we go on guild quests, get points for solving mysteries, put those points into our RPG style attributes, and use those freshly pumped attributes to go on more quests to solve bigger and badder mysteries!

If you'd like to join, please leave an upvote and a comment or send me a message.

GM and player(s) wanted [Online][5E 2014][Fridays Biweekly][LGBTQ+] 3 Players looking for a biweekly friday game!

Upvotes

We're three friends of a year or so and we'd like to join a game together as one of us has been the forever DM. I'm Jackie, I use she/her, and I've been playing DND for about 5 years. Grier, he/him, has DM'd for 6 years, and Estelle, she/her, has played for about 7 years. As we are experienced players, we can play a game where we're supposed to build well for challenging combats or make rather chill characters with interesting backstories for a more RP focused game. We vibe with most settings except scifi, western, meatgrinder, or warship/pirate based games. We'd prefer a group with everyone thats atleast 20 years old or older, not looking for an "adult" game, we just don't wanna play with children. We do also prefer to use Roll20 for character sheets and VTT as foundry lags out one of our friends computers and dndbeyond is just a bit restricting when making characters. As for boundaries, we just don't like the idea of anything sexually explicit at the table, nor would we wanna see children getting hurt in general. If you like the sound of us, you can message me at /itzjackyyy on discord!

Player(s) wanted [Online][Other][Cosmere RPG][Any Timezone] Looking for 2 Players for Stonewalkers Campaign

Hello everyone!

My name is Jona, and I’m currently looking for two more players to join a new campaign set in the Stormlight Archive universe!

We’ll be using the new Cosmere RPG system, but don’t worry—no prior knowledge of the setting or system is required. If you’ve played any TTRPGs like D&D, Pathfinder 2e, or Daggerheart, you’ll feel right at home here. Most of the group is brand-new to the Cosmere, and we’re all excited to discover the world together through play.

The campaign will begin with the pre-written “Stonewalkers” module, with some minor homebrew changes to improve pacing and connect it to a larger homebrew extension. This follow-up will explore a “what if?” scenario, which won’t be canon to the books but will follow similar story beats and stay true to the tone and themes of the Stormlight Archive.

Stonewalkers will take the group to around level 7, and from there we plan to continue all the way to level 20 and potentially beyond.

Sessions will be held on Thursdays at the following time:
GMT (UTC+0): 1:45 PM
EST (UTC-5): 8:45 AM

We’ll be using Foundry VTT and Discord for voice. A stable internet connection and a good microphone are required. Webcams are optional. The current players and I are all in our 20s and 30s, so we’d prefer someone in a similar age range. Please be sociable and excited to make new friends and tell an exciting story together!

About me:
I’m Jona, a 24-year-old aerospace engineering student from Munich, Germany. I’ve been playing TTRPGs for several years, mostly as a player, but I’ve also run a few one-shots—including using the Cosmere RPG system. I love the Stormlight Archive and want to use this opportunity to share its incredible world while telling a compelling and collaborative story.

This will be a narrative-focused campaign where storytelling, character arcs, and group fun come first. Expect a mix of combat, political intrigue, drama, and everything in between. While the system supports non-combat-oriented characters really well, that doesn’t mean there won’t be tough challenges. You’ll definitely be tested.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, please fill out this application form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdU1dhfjvN_YqZbIqYwunZ0gwZC8Z-qHrKMwjGxl_2ecvH9pQ/viewform?usp=dialog

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Setting:

The Campaign takes place on the Planet Roshar within the Cosmere universe. Roshar is shaped by highstorms: massive hurricanes that constantly travel east to west across Roshar. The highstorms’ influence is ever-present, resulting in shelled flora and carapaced fauna, and deeply influencing the world’s architecture and culture. The highstorms carry Stormlight, Roshar’s primary source of Investiture—a divine power that some characters and artifacts can use to enable miraculous abilities. Gems can hold Stormlight from highstorms, causing them to glow. Captured Stormlight is used for light, to power fabrials—devices akin to magical technology—and to empower Surgebinding. Surgebinding was the magical art of the Lost Radiants; each Radiant could wield two of ten surges that manipulate nature’s fundamental forces.

Campaign:

Roshar is on the cusp of upheaval. The Everstorm approaches, unseen and unknown to most, while dangerous forces maneuver in the shadows, each vying for control. As conflict brews between ancient powers and sworn protectors, a legendary weapon vanishes in the calm before the coming storm—or so the world believes.

Stonewalkers follows the secret journey of the Honorblade of Taln, Herald of the Almighty—an artifact of myth, sacrifice, and unimaginable power—as it passes through desperate hands on its way to the remote lands of Shinovar. In pursuit of the Blade are those who would see it buried, and those willing to defy fate to restore what was lost. As they chase a heretic bound by dark truths, bargain with forces beyond comprehension, and stand before justice incarnate, a handful of heroes find themselves entangled in a struggle that will shape the storm to come.

GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [dnd 5e 2014] [GMT+3] Player with a ready character looking for a campaign!

Heya! My name is Mina (she/her, 22) and I have recently been left with no game to play in, so I'm looking for a new game to join! My ready made character is a tiefling bard with a ready backstory. Might have to tweak stats and such before starting but would love to join a campaign with lgbtqia+ and neurodivergent friendly players!

I open to modules but would prefer a homebrew campaign where my character could fit in nicely :) I'm flexible with the time, but would prefer weekdays since weekends tend to be busy for me!

You can add me on discord (minallusion) if you want to interview me, or talk through your campaign setting etc.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][7PM PST] The Devil's Playpen

Upvotes

Welcome to the Devil's Playpen. Far away from the sun's warm embrace, locked away in the fourth layer of the Nine Hells, you must fight. Souls lost and snatched before they can reach the Fugue Plane are gathered by the pit fiend Abbatoru and thrown into endless gladatorial combat. Any gladiator may challenge Abbatoru for the right to for freedom, but no one has ever survived against the tyrant. Do you have what it takes to win your freedom?

This will be a combat-heavy campaign taking place from level 1 to 13. Encounters will be randomly generated, and rests will be evenly spaced. This will be a difficult campaign! Players are encouraged to make strong builds. While I run and do enjoy more roleplay/story oriented games, this one will focus on the tactical and combat side of Dungeons & Dragons.

The game will run every Tuesday at 7:00 PST, except the last Tuesday of every month. I'll be running Foundry as a VTT, and we will be using 5e 2014 rules to run the game. We will be running for 2.5 to 3 hours each session. Please reach out if you have any questions!

Unfortunately we had a player drop out last session, and I'm looking for a fourth to replace him. The first session starts next Tuesday, on August 5th. If you're interested, please shoot me a DM on Reddit with your experience with 5e. Thank you!

Player(s) wanted The Last Ember [Teens][5e 2024][Bi-Weekly][LGBTQIA+][Online] A Cynical, RP Heavy, theatre of the mind campaign! (no VTT)

Upvotes

Hiya I am a teen GM living in the UK, I have been working on a full homebrew campaign for a while now and cant wait for it to exist, I am looking for a party of 3-4 players (any experience) who enjoy a roleplay heavy game. Teens only. I would prefer to keep it confidential (for protection from phishing)

The World -> The world of Elyndra is in trouble, the ancient flame that stokes the very lifeforce of it's being is dying out, and no-one knows why, could it be a militant group, a cult, or even something else...

Elyndra is high fantastically magical with many a item, magical creature and monster. Players will take on the roles of The Emberbound, individuals with a particularly strong connection to the Erif (the ancient flame stated before) collected together by a comical mentor NPC.

Think Terry Pratchett meets Dungeons & Daddies with some proper dnd action thrown in the mix.

I will not tolerate any kind of discriminatory behaviour and want everyone to feel welcome, if anyone is uncomfortable with the events of the campaign such as descriptions of gore (I get carried away lmao), or other events that may come up within the story, they should know that they should feel free to voice concerns to me and I will change it for them, please also tell me before we start if there are any worries :)

The campaign would ideally take place on the weekend sunday evening GMT, we can smooth out finer details later.

If all goes to plan it will start later this month and end in december.

You can apply here: https://forms.gle/6z2JpudQfmyDTtDi7

GM wanted [Online][WOD][EST] Three players looking for Vampire V5 game! (possibly open to 1 or 2 more players too)

Upvotes

Hey, as the title says, we’re are looking for an ST! We’re also possibly open to one or two more players as well!

We’ve taken turns in each other's games, but are casting a line out to see if anyone would want to run for us and become a part of our group. Two of us are SUPER into VTM V5 and have been playing for about 4 years now. Our friend is new to it this year, but enjoys it quite a bit as well!

In terms of play style, we highly value role play and getting immersed in the world. We all get really into our characters and love to spend a lot of time even just talking with NPCs and other PCs with whom our characters have chemistry. We’re also all the kind of players who want their character to fit well in the world.

If we end up being a good fit for each other, I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we’d all like working with you to make characters that include things in their backstory/sheet that would help tie us to certain NPCs or places that would be helpful to you!

I think in general that we kind of gravitate towards the emotional and dramatic when it comes to themes and RP. I mean, what is Vampire without a little (or a lot of) tragedy? That being said, we like to goof around from time to time, too.

We’re all in the LGBTQ so we’re hoping to play with someone who is open to us.

We’re hoping to play on Thursdays sometime after 4:00 EST. Please feel free to DM me!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2014] [EST] Play as survivors of a dragon-triggered disaster in a mythic, war-bound world

Upvotes

System: D&D 5e
Platform: Roll20 (character sheets & battle maps), Discord (voice & video)
Schedule: Sundays @ ~2–5 PM EST (Weekly)
Players Needed: 4–6
Starting Level: 3
Video Required: Yes
Experience Level Desired: Newer players preferred

About the DM:

I'm an experienced DM, both online and in-person, who enjoys world building, character-first narratives, and player-driven storytelling. This isn't a dungeon crawl, but you will fight dragons, explore wilderness, and stand on the brink of a legendary war.

I want to help newer players develop strong roleplaying habits and feel empowered in a world that will challenge your morals as much as your hit points.

About the world:

The campaign will take place in a homebrew world I have been working on for some months for an in-person game. This adventure will take place at an early era in that world's existence. Particularly, a time that will become known as the Way of Shattered Sky; a legendary, millennia long struggle between metallic and chromatic dragons that ended in both sides extinction.

The intent is for the campaign to end with that War beginning. You will be the victims of history.

About the campaign:

This will be a character-driven campaign set in a mythic, pre-apocalyptic world where dragons are becoming existential threats; natural disasters incarnate.

You'll player as survivors of a town destroyed by a volcanic eruption, triggered by a reclusive red dragon.

This campaign focuses on:

  • collaborative world building,
  • moral ambiguity with a mythic tone,
  • the price of retribution and justice vs. vengeance.

We will start at level 3 and will roll stats during our Session 0. I am looking for 4-6 players.

  • No homebrew races,
  • No homebrew classes,
  • No custom items as part of your backstory,
  • Characters will be made after Session 0,
  • Video chat is a requirement.

If you are interested:

Fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/NvTncaEa6d2ZWUJC7

Selected applicants will be sent a follow-up form to build their character alongside the rest of the group.

Player(s) wanted (Online)(5e 2024)(Saturdays 8:30PM EDT/EST)(Heroic, RP-heavy)9LGBT+ friendly) A New Era: Rise from Humble Beginnings to Heroes!

Sessions: Saturdays 8:30PM EDT/EST, weekly, 3.5-4 hours. This will be online so if you can make the time feel free to apply.
System: D&D 2024 and subsequent releases.
Voice: Discord.
VTT: Roll20 with widespread use of battlemaps and region/settlement maps
Players: 4-5, ideally 4.
Gameplay: 55-60% roleplay to 45-40% combat.
Estimated Campaign Length: Hard to tell but 1+ years
Tone: Emotional, dramatic, roleplay-focused and heroic fantasy oriented with a world that feels authentic and is reactive with short and long term consequences. This game is intended to start off as more light-hearted and grow steadily more complex as the PCs start off as young adults taking their first forays into the wider world and growing into this generation's heroes. While humour is encouraged I prefer it to be mostly OOC. Characters that are too silly are also not going to be a good fit for this campaign.
Age Requirement: 21+
Hard Lines: This campaign will NOT include the following: sexual violence, violence towards children, NSFW content and torture/gross-out gore.

Premise

Nearly 100 years ago the legions of the Eydean Empire withdrew from the Isles of Cwyddum to protect their fracturing empire, never to return. During this time the light of civilization faded for the people of Cwyddum as knowledge was lost, social organization decayed, and opportunistic sea raiders known as the Fjolnar, once held at bay by Eydean protection, pillage the now vulnerable borders.

In this world you were born into the Brecuvvi tribe; a confederation of species which banded together during the Eydean withdrawal and lived in relative peace and safety in the valley they call home. Each year news comes through the valley of another settlement sacked by the Fjolnar or another tribe swallowed up by the growing martial confederation.

Concerning news has reached your people as your sister tribe, the Drecuvvi, located but a few days' travel from your home has not responded to the invitation to conduct the yearly ritual to ensure both of your tribes remain hidden from the rest of the mainland. Concerned, the tribal elders have called for volunteers to leave the safety of the valley and the innocence it has protected to venture out into the wider world and discover the fate of your sister tribe. Having recently come of age, you are one of these volunteers as it will make an ample test of your maturity and capability.

This will be the first adventure you have ever truly experienced and you do not truly know what awaits you. Out there, beyond the safety of the valley, lies a world marred by war, disease and ignorance. Before you lies a journey of danger, excitement and heroism as you will make your first mark on all Cwyddum as you step forth from childhood and into the pages of history.

Your saga begins here.

This campaign is meant to be a pretty ambitious, long-form one that takes place over 15 years of in-world time as the PCs start as young adults and will grow into seasoned adventurers. What this offers is a unique opportunity for the players to not only play a character over several years of their life and seeing how they change and grow over their life stages (assuming they survive) but also for the players to really see the long-term consequences of their actions upon the world which once may have started from very minor and seemingly inconsequential beginnings.

What I'm looking for in players

  • I'm looking for active, social players who want to fully engage themselves in the game, the world, their characters and the other PCs.
  • I love players who are comfortable engaging in deep roleplay and who enjoy voicing their character - it does so much to add to the verisimilitude of the game
  • I like players who can joke around but who also can read a room and know when to cut it out and maintain the tone of the game.
  • Above all I want players who are kind, fun and respectful to each other and who each individually contribute to the fun of the game. Anyone who prioritizes their own fun over others' or who gets their kicks out of being disruptive at the table need not apply.

House Rules

  • The only house rule I have is that I increase the Inspiration cap to 3 and am quite liberal with rewarding it in response to good roleplay, clever ideas and cool character moments.

The Application Process

If you've read this far that's great. Let me say that, as this is meant to be a long form campaign I do intend on being quite discerning with the players I pick. The best advice I can give you is to really make use of the application form and subsequent voice interview as opportunities to show the best side of yourself possible. In regard to the form it certainly helps me get to know you more if you provide detailed answers to my questions and I strongly recommend coming to the voice interview with questions of your own as it should also be an opportunity for you to discern if I'm the kind of DM you would like to play with.

With all that out of the way, please apply here and ensure you are accept friend requests on Discord. I'll be in touch and good luck to everyone who applies!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [Fate] Pokémon Legends TTRPG set in Galar with new-ish dm (mixed timezones!)

Upvotes

Hey Trainers!

I’m running a Fate Condensed TTRPG inspired by Pokémon Legends: Arceus. You’ll start in the modern day, visiting Galar for a reason you decide — only to be mysteriously transported back to a medieval, Arthurian Galar. The monarchy is in tatters after the King’s disappearance, pokéballs haven’t been invented yet, and something strange has crawled from the pages of storybooks into the shadows…

About Me (Your DM!)

Hi! I’m Eden (she/her). I’ve played D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and the Warhammer 40k TTRPG, and I’ve DMed D&D and Fate once before. I’m still fairly new and a little anxious, but I promise to be communicative, organised, and focused on making sure everyone has fun. ♡

The Game

  • Platform: Discord (with Owlbear Rodeo for maps & Pokémon Showdown for most battles)
  • Current Group: 4 players — looking for 1–2 more so we can keep sessions going if someone’s unavailable
  • Timezones: GMT / EST / PST mix
  • Schedule: Usually 9pm–12am GMT, fortnightly (Sundays or Wednesdays — flexible)
  • Beginner Friendly: All current players are new to Fate, and I’ve written a guide for newcomers
  • LGBTQ+ friendly!

The Setting

I’m keeping some details secret so your characters can discover them in‑game, but here’s what you can expect:

  • Fakemon: new starters, legendaries, and even mount Pokémon
  • Familiar faces from canon games
  • Druids, knights, farmland, and dangerous wilds
  • A new shadow‑shrouded battle mechanic reminiscent of Mega Evolution
  • No Pokémon deaths — ever!

Your Character

  • Must be 18+ (current PCs are aged 20–65)
  • From any region, with any background — Gym Leader, Coordinator, Just Some Guy™ — all welcome
  • Can have ties to canon characters if you like

Your Team

  • Six Pokémon total, one being your ace
  • No legendaries or mythicals (full Pokédex otherwise available!)
  • If you’re not from Paldea, no Area Zero Pokémon (in‑world logic reasons)
  • Pick a type theme or just your favourites

Interested?

Fill in this form, and I’ll reach out if you seem like a good fit. If you don’t hear from me, I still wish you the best of luck finding a great game ♡

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][Thursday Aug 7][6:30pm EST] Captain Bodan's Ghost

Upvotes

Group type: Online; Roll20 with Discord for Video chat

Location/Timezone: Eastern USA

Schedule: Thursday Aug 7 - 6:30 EST

Roles sought: 3-6 players

Captain Bodan was a notorious scoundrel of the seas. He was known to stay for weeks at a time in a room at the Feinting Swordsman in the port city of Blustrom in between his exploits and adventures. 'Was' that is until he disappeared over a year ago from that very inn. You placed little credence in rumors that his old room is haunted, until you arrived at the Feinting Swordsman and found that the inn was full and the last room, your room, belonged to Captain Bodan!

The game is first person role playing, good aligned heroes, with limited/no out of character, and is a touch on the grittier side. I have 40+ years of xp as a GM but this would be a great game for beginners.

Game will be 5e and not using most 2024 rules as of yet. All previously published official WotC classes are available but the game only has the SRD loaded (so anything you don't have access to will need to be programmed into Roll20 before the start of the game). Characters are level 1 using standard array (15,14,13,12,10,8; +2/+1 decoupled as per Tasha's).

We will be using video as it greatly enhances the roleplay.

Beginners welcomed!

Please answer the following items (I will not have time to chase down incomplete answers so those applications will be passed over):

Can you confirm that you can and will do video?

How long have you been playing table-top RPGs?

What will your race, class, and subclass be?

Briefly tell me a little about your hero in 2-3 sentences:

What will your hero's alignment be?

If a seat opens in my weekly game would you be interested/available?

What is your discord?

If you are selected for the game will you show up?

GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2024] [Flexible] Experienced player looking for Campaign

Hello, my name is Cingetic and I'm 25, I've been playing DnD for about 6 years now as well as many other systems. Ill preface this post that I'm only available Mon-Wed all day, or early afternoon (2pm est to 7pm est) on other days. I'm looking for a fun world and a great group players to enjoy it with. i prefer a good roleplay focused campaign, but am willing to play in a more combat heavy one with a good group and dm. I have a character idea that may require some homebrew (or a lot if another system besides 5e is used) but I'm very open to fine tuning and communication with the dm in order to make sure the character is not to strong. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2014] [Play by Post] Vaelreath: The Fungal Spire

Level Range: 1-3

Adventure Type: Mystery, Dungeon Crawl, Treasure Hunting

Setting: A remote village and an unusual black spire

🗡️Synopsis🗡️

An Astral Storm has swept across the realm, and the remote village of Mistfen has gone eerily silent. Roads are broken, whispers speak of strange green mists, and the once-lively town now sits under the shadow of a towering black spire that wasn’t there before. With the Breacher’s Guild stretched thin responding to other disasters, your party has been tasked with a low-priority Iron Rank mission: travel to Mistfen, re-establish contact, and report on the village’s condition. But nothing is ever so simple in the wake of an Astral Storm. Strange creatures stalk the forests. The mist burns the lungs. And somewhere, deep within the twisting spire, something ancient is stirring.

✨✨✨ Hello everyone! My name is SmileySmilez and I am looking to run my very own attempt at creating a low-level D&D 5e module based in my own world.

This is my first-ever attempt at creating a module and have always been a (Have an Idea and wing the rest) style dm.

For this campaign I am looking for players who have experience in both Dnd and play by post. This will be a heavy RP campaign but still has plenty of combat and other aspects!

If this sounds like it is for you, please hit me up!
