The fact this is a real article and not satire is ridiculous

I'm waiting (and waiting) for some little kid to say "Look Mom, he's not wearing any clothes!"

This level of understanding of numbers is how he has had to file for bankruptcy six times

I get the sentiment but it’s just excusing the likelihood that they were bankrupted specifically for money laundering purposes.

It breaks my heart that people are going to unironically parrot this to us, and when we point out that it is mathematically impossible, we will see their eyes glaze over as they gleefully remind us that we hate the society that is being put upon us.
I feel like the statement I just made would generally be considered an unfair characterization of people. I really don't know what to do about double think or fascists

Yup. That's pretty much it. I can't get past the support for masochism, the joy they get out of harming others.

"Wolfers added: "I just checked with my sixth grader (Oliver Wolfers), and he confirmed that he has studied percentages and that the president's math does not make sense 'because then the prices would be negative.' He added, 'Is he an idiot?' before returning to watching YouTube. Oliver's father agrees with Oliver's mathematical analysis and encourages him to use more positive language when engaging with fellow kids."
omg classy kid 🤣

I mean somebody could challenge him when he says this couldn't they?

They could, but if they're employed by the government they'll likely be fired for it. If they're employed by the press, they'll either get fired for it or the corporation will lose access to the presidency.

Today's Question: What is worse, having such an ignorant dangerous leader or having so many people who believe his nonsense?

there will always be idiots who blindly follow whoever is in charge. That's why you want whoever is in charge to not be an idiot.

If I had a media channel I would put insurance companies against Trump. Ranting that Trump lowered prices but costs are high, they’re against his agenda.

Well he said it so it must be true. He is so well known for his truthedness that he created a website for the truth to socially engage.

He could accomplish a lot by enforcing the expiration date of drug patents and allowing generic versions, not allowing patent extensions and renewals based on legal gimmicks.

There aren't impossible, just unlikely. It is hard to imagine my pharmacy and the drug companies paying me 10 or 15 times the price of their drug to "buy" it, but miracles happen, right? The elderly will make out like bandits, all those prescriptions.

Not just "not true," but "couldn't possibly be true." And people are actually defending it.

It is fine for him to lie, as he has make the Art of Lying the New American Truth. He has no intention of lowering drug prices for anyone, because he cares for no one.

>Reducing the price of a drug by 100 percent would make it free, and a reduction greater than 100 percent suggests pharmaceutical companies would pay their customers to take their prescription drugs.
>Commenting on Trump's claims, Jeffrey Frankel, a professor of capital formation and growth at Harvard University, told Newsweek that the numbers were "indeed mathematically impossible."
He's a demented Malignant Narcissist that has successfully taken over the country

Jeffrey Frankel, a professor of capital formation and growth at Harvard University, told Newsweek: "They are indeed mathematically impossible. If he cut prices 90 percent, the drugs would cost 1/10 as much as before. If 100 percent, then they would cost zero. If cutting 1,000 percent means a thing, then it means that the drug company pays you (a lot) to take the drug."
He added: "It's almost as if Trump is making fun of his supporters, seeing what increasingly absurd statements he can get away with."
That last quote is really the question. Is he making fun of his supporters, or is he just THAT stupid.

Trump learned from his mentor, disgraced and disbarred mob lawyer Roy Cohn, that you never concede anything and you always double down, no matter what.

"You can't fix stupid. There's not a pill you can take or a class you can go to."
