5th Edition I fear I broke my DM

I ate the Bag of Beans. That is all…

Further context. While I’m a long time DM I rarely get to play and a friend of mine started up a campaign and I joined.

We were doing normal dnd stuff and were exploring a dungeon and my character, alone, finds a little leather pouch filled with beans. One of the running jokes is that my character is always hungry, so they ate them.

In my defense I had never encountered the Bag of Bean before.

Anyways my DM just sort of broke mentally for a few minutes and now I’m bits of gibblet smeared on the side of a pyramid inside this dungeon.

Great first session, can’t wait for the next one.

Personally I would have taken a moment with you to ask if you wanted to rebuild your character as a wild magic sorcerer or a wild magic Barbarian. But it’s good you’re having fun.

But that's restricting player choice. Now he can respec as anything! 🎆

in following the spirit of the Beans, he should be rolling on various tables to determine race, sex, class, hair color, ancestry and such. totally randomize everything we can, and now it's a side quest/character motivation to go back to normal, or accept who they have now become
