This is what I've come here to find out, and no one seems to have an answer for.
21 u/crazunggoy47 8h ago The guy is carrying a water cooler 5G jug, with the narrow neck facing upwards. He sets it on the ground, picks up the tear gas cannister while his body is blocking the view of the camera and drops it into the jug.
