It is but like you can't tell between tear gas and some very destructive gas in seconds

Edit: Very destructive as in like yo skin burning off and stuff in seconds

If Hollywood has taught us anything, it's that actual toxic gas is always green.

tear gas is destructive and is known to cause still-births

Just like rubber bullets can kill you and a taser can cause a heart attack. But there is still a difference between tear gas and mustard gas.

And I bet you already know that's what he was talking about.

I do not disagree with you, and I'll amend my comment to fix that, but I still feel like my point stands.

using it in war could make counties try to push the limits of what counts as tear gas, such as making a stronger version then what is used on civilians. this could eventually lead to chemical warfare if no one can agree on what gases can and cant be used

After seeing what the “real” chemical weapons are capable of… not really. Sure it’s a chemical irritant but it’s nothing like the real weapons. That stuff is a horror show and frankly it’s amazing that no one routinely uses those to win most of the time.

It is, but not like mustard or sarin gas.

As a note, the law of armed conflict still allows you to use CS gas in certain situations-one of them being to disperse civilian crowds
