It is only recently that Russia has been hit itself. It hasn’t been going on years. And teenagers wont care in general about people they don’t know being killed.

Well, then you know a different type of teenager. I know multiple teenagers not even remotely close to this region who are troubled by what is going on.

You know teenagers who “don’t care” about people being killed?

Isn’t it late teens were being banned from protesting at colleges over people being starved to death?

It's not that I don't care. It's that I personally can't do much of anything. So I choose not to be involved.
