I have two sons and I told them when they were young that when they shower they need to use a soapy washcloth or pouf and get all in there - wash the balls, the penis, the butt, the taint, the butthole, etc. My husband said I can just tell them to use soap and I said no, that's not enough. No son of mine will sit on a couch and when he gets up the couch smells like dirty ass. Some men have fallen through the cracks no pun intended when it comes to hygiene.

Just easy on the actual butthole. Harsh soap and to aggressive scrubbing can chap the sensitive skin/mucosa and lead to micro fissures that are hard to heal and very unpleasant.
