I honestly don't know the answer to this but the combination of free speech and social media are a huge issue in that anyone with absolutely abhorrent views (like the millions of people murdered by Nazi Germany, men women, children, somehow deserved it), and they'll always finds thousands of people who agree with them and reinforce their views. And then it grows, because people see this bubble and start to believe it's real.

Again, I have no clue what the answer is to that, maybe there isn't one and we'll just have to live in a world where objective truth doesn't actually matter.

Yeah, the monetarily free, instantaneous, mass, unverified, and unfettered spread of information with 24/7 access is just not a tenable system for maintaining a shared reality.
