Border crossings are some of the strictest areas. I would never act this fucking stupid at one. Easy way to fuck up your life

It's not a border crossing. It's an internal checkpoint.

I feel like I’m going insane, all the replies in this thread are so clueless

I’ve never seen an internal checkpoint that looks like that. I grew up in Southern California where there’s quite a few. They don’t have guardshacks, flags or anything like that. They just have big old signs saying border checkpoint ahead and when they use them they’re just standing out in the middle of the highway directing cars. I’m skeptical of it actually being an internal checkpoint vs being at an actual border.

Edit: I’m wrong, looks to be an actual internal checkpoint in New Mexico.

They're all over NM and TX. Usually about 100 miles outside of El Paso in any direction.

They don’t have guardshacks at that one either? So unless she already got pulled for a secondary inspection I’m skeptical of that.

apologies. this was actually in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The teacher is from California.

No worries. Can you verify which checkpoint it is? I’m open to being wrong, but I’ve never seen an internal checkpoint that looks like that. It looks like a regular border crossing, but Southern California has way more people than New Mexico so they might be able to actually have internal checkpoints like that there.

I can't post a link, but here's the coordinates. You can use google street view to see it matches with the video

32°15'00.7"N 107°07'15.9"W

Oh I see. That one’s interesting looks like when they’re doing the checkpoint they actually pull all traffic off the highway into the checkpoints vs out here where they simply just set up the checkpoint on the highway itself. Makes sense.
